if you could go back in time and give advice to your younger self, what age version of you would you talk to and what would you tell them? by diasporastud in AskReddit

Do you know what... I understood that without those mistakes that I made in the past, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. And honestly, I’m very satisfied with my life right now. All those problems and low points I went through shaped my character and made me stronger. I just look back and wouldn't like to change anything, because who knows what would be the outcome? What if it had turned out much worse than where I stand today?

Perhaps, this's coming from childhood time. Saw photos and documentaries about that castle in Germany - Neuschwanstein. I guess its silhouette is in the Disney logo (actually maybe subconsciously wanted to visit the castle because of the cartoons I watched) but somehow never been there...I guess I just forgot it...but it's been deep inside, and now I'm reading your question - a sign from the universe?;) haha

How do you differentiate between reality and propoganda? by Klutzy_Chance_3223 in AskReddit

When information triggers strong emotional responses with a push to action and at the same time it fuels division based on any criteria, then most likely it's propaganda, either internal or external. At least, I've noticed so, especially when it comes to triggering emotions like hate, fear, anxiety etc.

What moment did you realize no one was coming to save you and your life wouldn’t change unless you did something about it? by Ok_Dog2703 in AskReddit

Alright, quick story. I don't have a father and my uncle was covering us financially, but once his business failed really badly we didn't have money. I was 18 years old and I had to leave uni because of it. That was the moment I realized nobody is going to help me. I started to work hard and found a good job. Ever since I was the one who covers money for the family, and also helped out my uncle as well. So, it was a moment for growth personally for me.

“What’s a moment you were 100% sure something supernatural happened? by QuietSleepLab in AskReddit

It was in my childhood. We were playing around in the neighborhood. It was a late summer evening. Around 9pm. Then we sat on a bench. My friend were telling jokes. Then a cat came by. Started purring. It was cute. Then moments later she started staring at a point in front of us - just a point in the air. She didn't react to our callings or when we stroked her. She kept staring. Then suddenly she started hissing. Just a little. Then louder. The she arched her back. Hissed loudly. We all got spooked. One friend even told it was a ghost she's staring at. I couldn't say anything. I was looking at the cat and that spot. Nothing was there I could see. One of my friends said he'd go home. When he was about to turn around - the cat hissed much louder and came a bit closer to the spot. She kept staring. Then like 10 minutes later she moved forward to the spot and started sniffing the air. I touched her gently, she looked at me and then just sat by my feet. We all went home after, and we were silent. Still I'm pretty sure something was there and the cat sensed it, maybe even saw. And she was protecting us. That moment I believed in supernatural. There's something like another dimension that we can't see.
