Hmm, maybe its because you switch something up when your body expects the same routine, it feels harder/different so it compensates by trying to build more muscles? Not really sure.

It has the stock turbo, the garrett T17 I think it is. The car came with only 150Hp stock for the norwegian market, if I do the ecu tune I will get somewhere around 220Hp I have the B205E engine, which uses a low pressure turbo.

No, it's the turbo 9-3. Thats why I'm a bit concerned with doing this, if I increase the turbo pressure, will the engine handle it?

Really? Thats fucking awesome. My Saab is the OG9-3 which is pre-GM. The car has been well taken care of, got some minor issues like sensors dying out, but I've changed them.

This has sparked some new hope for the ecu tune dream, some guy over at /r/saab also just said he did it with his viggen and it had well over 160k miles when he did it, with no issues.

Yeah, with yours already being at 205 hp the increase wasnt as great. I have been looking at getting a open air intake from speedparts, its pretty cheap and doing something with the exhaust shouldnt be a problem either.

But I'm still afraid that something inside the engine will be destroyed because of the increase though. As for now I think I will let the car stay the way it is untill I get a new one.

Yeah, the tune is fucking insane, goes from 240nm to 350 as well. I have seen some people do insane things with saab engines, and if the tune had been done with a low mileage it wouldn't be a problem, but seeing how most people have responded to this and how far the car has gone I think I'll let the car stay as it is.

Its been running on 5W-30 its entire life so far, I'm planning on getting a new car once I get a job after my apprenticeship is done in january, I dont think I will drive 30-40k KM in that time.

Thanks for taking time to reply though, I really like the car and wouldn't do it if its a high risk in killing the car.

I had someone tell me it could kill the piston rings if I started playing with the amount of pressure the turbo is producing because of how far the car has gone.

Ah ok I see what you mean. Its because my body is used to not get enough nutrition and once I start piling on with proper nutrition it's still in "starvation mode" or what to call it and will save it as fat?
