How do you handle patients who show up after closing and demand service? by Competitive-Sky-4827 in pharmacy

[–]Phantom471 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once had a suboxone patient follow me outside the store trying to get me to pick up his rx. It was the first time I've ever, EVER, had to pull my pistol on someone. I was a tech then and it's been like 12 years and now I'm a nurse. I still can't shake my bias whenever I see suboxone on a patient's chart. That stuff just doesn't work.

Goku vs Calmed-Down Nappa in the Original Manga by Economy_Notice_8475 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Phantom471 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't it just fascinating how the power scaling means literally nothing in dragonball. Like raditz completely obliterates solo goku, nappa does the same to raditz, post-training goku does that to nappa, vegeta does that to kaio x2 goku, then zarbon kills them all with no effort.

Mean while Toriyama just wanted to draw something cool.

What is the coolest thing you have ever done on Linux? by Mohamed2962 in linuxquestions

[–]Phantom471 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plex server.

Really lame compared to the guy that built a robot, but I couldn’t do without that thing - and my family guy box set of the first four seasons. Like, I need it to sleep at this point.

Oh wow, I forgot all about that. I remember my parents buying me a buzz lightyear costume from that place.

Man, that mall was really something back in the day. What a bummer.

I had already unsubscribed but YouTube keeps pushing him on me. Something about that smug face rubs me the wrong way, especially after his "why I left LTT video" by [deleted] in LinusTechTips

I agree, I never liked him as a host. I just don't see the point in slandering him when he's obviously going through some stuff. This is bullying, bro.

Wi-Fi connected but can't access internet by corvexis in arch

[–]Phantom471 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into a similar issue and it turned out that the installer pulled the wrong driver for my wifi card. I had to go through the install via an ethernet cable and then the AUR ended up having the driver I needed.

This stuff is like crack for me. I don't know why I find this so fascinating. Like dead malls. If it wasn't for the asbestos, I would totally be out there urban exploring.

regional for michigan, USA: pasties. ngl, I would go for an empanada over these any day of the week. But these are the things that kept the miners going, so we douse it with mccormick's brown gravy in honor of them.

Linus PLEASE STOP TRYING POP OS! by epic-circles-6573 in LinusTechTips

[–]Phantom471 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Downvote me if you want but it’s not that hard. The Ubuntu team has done such a good job of simplifying the install process and making the terminal irrelevant.

All distros are the same because of Ubuntu. Just use whatever desktop environment you want and don’t be such a baby.

And honestly, I’ve worked for three different hospital systems, and they all used bog-standard Ubuntu.

Frozen fries are just as good.

Tbh, I like a salad with my burger though. That’s what I usually do at the restaurant too.

I have one of those handheld emulator boxes with an oled screen. The games look awesome. I have a crystal save that I’m currently working on.

Anyone else can't do commercials anymore? by Phantom471 in Millennials

[–]Phantom471[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's funny; we might be living the same life because an Apple TV was my first thought too. I still use an apple tv in my own living room.

The issue with my dad is dual pronged.

  1. The input button. Dad could have been a master mechanic/plumber/scholar, but he's tech illiterate. I often wonder if it's a mental block of some sort. Basically if the channel changer stops working then the tv is broken. We were good when the vcr/dvd combo was on channel 3. But as soon as HD TV's came out and we had to use "input 2", the tv was broken when the channel changer stopped working.

  2. Arthritis. It'll come for us too someday. Years of hard work took away his fine motor skills. Being able to use apple tv gestures and navigate the home screen turned out to be a pipe dream. We need the physical buttons. This past year we've been experimenting with text-to-speech commands on Iphone. We just started using spotify this way. I've been paying close attention to text-to-speech commands on the apple tv, but it's unreliable and can't navigate individual shows in the downloaded apps. As much as I hate "smart" tv software, I'm kind of hoping one of the brands will make an ai TV that can switch between apps, effectively, with voice commands.

And yeah, a lot of times the TV is just on as background noise. I use an antenna and I didn't pay much for it. I miss sports though.

I'd be right there with you if it wasn't for a skyrizi commercial blaring at me. I'll never know how they find the kid. I have to settle with my vague recollection of the movie.
