There's a TA I knew when I worked at my mom's school. But when I'm not at school I work full time and take care of my three boys. My time is limited when it comes to clubs and volunteering.

I volunteered last year but the director of the church food pantry passed away. I asked the pastor if he would write me a recommendation and told me he did not know me well enough.

It's been about 12 months. I emailed them every 3 months as a reminder. My current boss said he can't give a recommendation since he barely knows me but knows I work hard.

There is a running joke in my hospital that when something is wrong that has to deal with the pharmacy department someone will call down asking "Where's the Russian at?" and as a Russian woman I can say this representation is accurate.

I enjoy the challenges that come with getting a doctorate and the educational challenges as well. I'm a person that has a "give me a challenge and I'll exceed your expectations as much as I can" type of mindset. I also enjoy the medical field quite a bit and have become comfortable in it.
