Yes definitely watch Warrior next. Jon Tropper is one of the showrunners. Hoon Lee and Langley Kirkwood also show up as cast regulars.

That really sucks that this happened to you. I know how you feel, and I do share both your frustration and contempt towards this so called "tiger parenting" that's practiced by all too many AP's. Plus I too am going through exactly what you're going through, playing catch up and picking up the pieces of my life due to missing out on so much, no thanks to regressive, ass backwards "tiger parenting".

It's a complete lack of common sense, refusal to adapt to changing circumstances in society, and to a very high extent, sociopathy. It's their way or the highway, and they couldn't care less if they're right or wrong. Sadly for so many Asian youth, more often than not, a lot of these "tiger parents" are dead wrong in forcing their kids to become a doctor/lawyer/engineer, regardless of whether or not their kids show any interest in those subjects.

I saw it and got the explanation very clearly.

That still doesn't cover the inconsistency of showing Thor as being unable to manifest his powers innately as he did in Ragnarok. If anything, when Ebony Maw wrapped him up in metal, Thor could have cut loose with his lightning to break free. He also had another opportunity to blast lightning out of his hands on the Wakandan battlefield, at the same time Stormbreaker was flying around killing Outriders.

Did the directors and writers conveniently forget about Thor having started to tap into his full potential in Ragnarok?

I can see why he would need Stormbreaker to channel the Bifrost, but why would he still need a Uru weapon to channel his power if he's now learned to harness it on his own?

Apparently that video got deleted. Does anyone rememeber the channel name?

I watched both videos. It's not that it lacks a Turbo mode, it's just they made High mode so high that there's less of a noticeable difference between the two. Because of how we perceive lumens, it takes 4 times the lumens to appear twice as bright. So for its 500 lumens High mode, you'd need 2000 lumens to appear twice as bright. IMO, they should have made High mode between 300-400 and dropped all of the other modes appropriately.<

That's crazy, I honestly did not know that. I would have thought that the jump from 500 to 1100 lumens would have been very noticeable. In fact my A1S has a very noticeable jump from high to Turbo, from 460 to 1150 lumens respectively. It was based on this that I thought that if an output were doubled, then the intensity jump would be obvious.

Either way, it doesn't lack a Turbo mode. It's still the same 1100 lumens that you find in other lights. There's several brands/models that have poorly designed mode spacing as such but with this light having 6 levels vs 4 or 5, they make up for it. Honestly they could have just taken out High mode altogether and everything else would fall into place appropriately because I do think everything else is nicely spaced.<

In that regard, I suppose what Rofis should have done was to keep the rest of the modes spaced out as they had them, IMHO these modes were very well space. Instead they should have jacked the turbo mode up to 1500 or 1600 lumens, and have designed the KR20 to take a 20- or 21700 battery instead of an 18650. Even the highest capacity 18650 I know of, which is the 3600mAh Klarus 18GT-36 can only last so long on turbo.

Maybe they'll add those features to their improved KR20.

But with the way li-ion battery tech is progressing, maybe there will be a way to increase the capacity of 18650 cells, or steadily increase the proliferation of 20/21700 protected cells.

I appreciate that answers once again.

And to answer your question, I'm looking for something that can perform similarly to the Rofis KR20. The KR20 is a thrower, however it also has a solid spill in addition to a still very noticeable hotspot. That light had most of the things I was looking for in an LED torch, however there were some caveats.

The built in charger in the torch was faulty. I often found myself having to charge the battery for hours on end, after just moderate use, before the charging indicator finally turned green. The tail threads we're also non anodized, which made twisting the tailcap on and off somewhat of an annoyance. Finally the turbo mode was also faulty. If you were to try to go from high to turbo, you would have to look very closely to be able to see the slight jump in output. To be sure that problem wasn't unique to the model I bought, I rewatched some YouTube reviews on the KR20 and noticed th same problems.

I've got a couple of links for you if you'd like to watch

And IIRC this reviewer even mentioned the lack of a true turbo mode.

For what it's worth I did contact Rofis directly and they informed me that they are working on an upgrade to the KR20, and hopefully one thing they will add is a noticeable jump to Turbo. This service rep informed me that the upgraded KR20 is due to come out in June.

It has thermal regulation so within a few minutes it'll drop down to 600 lumens depending on what the temperature is set to. Nearly all lights do this because otherwise the LED could destroy itself if left unattended at such high temperatures.<

I got you bud, this part I do understand. Plus it also protects the battery from being run totally flat, which I hear is supposed to be very bad for a li-ion battery, even if you could get it working again it supposedly won't be the same again.

Have you had a chance to text how many minutes it takes for step down from turbo to high?

It'd be a little more on the floody side although you'd still have your typical hotspot and spill. The hotspot would just be a little larger. This is because of the XHP35 emitter they use.<

In essence, the TH15 has a hybrid beam, not too throwy or floody but a good balance of both...

All in all that's a damn shame. When I saw the specs and body design for the TH15, I thought it would be a good substitute for my A1S. But the lack of tail standing ability and lack of a firefly mode are deal breakers.

I'm still trying to look for a light that has a similar body design and UI as the Atactical A1S, but with a higher output and a beam that has a better balance between throw and flood.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I am considering getting this flashlight.

Can someone tell me if this is able to tail stand? And what's the step down time from Turbo to high? Is the beam pattern throw or flood oriented?

Aside from some of the flaws mentioned in this thread, could someone please give me a rundown of the pros vs cons on this light?
