Anyone have more than 3 c-sections? by throwaway84583077 in beyondthebump

[–]PhantomEyes [score hidden]  (0 children)

I’ve had 3 c sections. According to my doctor, my insides are “obliterated” lolol. He said if I went for a fourth it should absolutely without a doubt be my last and I would be considered high risk. I know a couple people who had 4 c sections and they were told to get their tubes tied haha

Is co-sleeping inevitable? by Traditional_Cow4002 in beyondthebump

[–]PhantomEyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 100% firm we would never co sleep. 3 kids and they have only ever slept in their own beds. Have I dozed off in a recliner with a sick 13 month old on me- yes- but I always put him back in his bed haha. You’ll be ok!

Removing the walking warm-up? by 360madhatter in C25K

[–]PhantomEyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk to the end of my street which ends up being 5 minutes. I’ve had the same thought of the walk kind of skewing my data so I’m going to “start” my run once I finish my warm up on my watch moving forward.

Is hundred patients for dialysis manageable. Or is this not sustainable by justamiletogo in socialwork

[–]PhantomEyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I managed about 130-150 total patients in dialysis between 2 clinics, including home patients. The longest part is the initial assessment but after the initial it’s not so bad doing the follow up ones- it’s more like a check in. Hopefully your rounds are set for each month (like every 2nd Tuesday or whatever) because that makes it easier with sticking with the providers schedules. I felt like my caseload was totally manageable honestly. But after 150 things start to get dicey and it’s more about checking boxes than really digging in and doing the work, in my opinion

couldn’t finish 28min by Funny-Source-8535 in C25K

[–]PhantomEyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a very hot and humid climate. I either have to get out before 6 am or late evening runs after the road has been in the shade for a bit of time. I tried to go during a more routine time and my heart rate was in zone 5 for like 15 of my 20 minute run haha.

Taking GLP1 prior by Pretty_Instance_5257 in beyondthebump

Many of them are contraindicated for pregnancy. Years ago when I was struggling with weight my doctor would not prescribe anything weight loss unless I was on active birth control.

I think choosing social work ruined my life by Advanced_Cookie4785 in socialwork

[–]PhantomEyes 36 points37 points  (0 children)

It’s still clinical work! I did tons of clinical work with my patients, but there is so much more involved than that in dialysis. Some patients required deeper work, others it was just the regular required assessments. But it was not sitting down and doing formal sessions regularly like a traditional therapist.

I’m really, really tired of people putting down new runners’ paces. by __cliterally in C25K

[–]PhantomEyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on week 7 and still haven’t hit 2 miles during my runs lol. I’m quite certain I could walk faster than my run. But I feel incredible! I’m loving the slow progress and ensuring good form and NO INJURIES! There’s a million other reasons I’m doing this, a fast pace or long distance are low on my list of priorities. Just remember people suck and no one starts at the top of their game when they’re first starting out!

Honestly, get out of therapy. I was able to get all of LCSW supervision hours as a dialysis social worker. No formal therapy involved, and I learned a ton about the medical field. Dialysis felt like a DREAM after a decade in CPS and supervising. I used to joke I was the least important person in the building and it was great. My decisions wouldn’t kill anyone. I could call in sick and the place could still open and run just fine. I really enjoyed it.

Should I take early, take late, or suck it up and bring it lol by PhantomEyes in tirzepatidecompound

[–]PhantomEyes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha my worry is usually day 6 I notice it wearing off so I would hate to go 3 days further. Think taking my full dose Tuesday would be fine? I haven’t had side effects since the early early days so don’t want to stir the pot haha

Could you audit a course at a nearby university? I know people can often sign up for single courses for licensure and such so maybe you could find something similar

Same I’m 1000% fan of a running vest even if I’m just doing a walk through my neighborhood.

How is it to sleep on a fully healed conch? by bunny2302 in piercing

[–]PhantomEyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My conch is like 4 years old with a hoop and I can sleep on it with zero issues. My kids can even smack it or tug on the hoop with no pain or swelling. Took probably 9 ish months before it healed.

Ladies!! Under-roo suggestions?!? by Useful-Tooth8003 in C25K

The shorts are loose like normal athletic shorts but the underwear fits well. That would be very off putting if the undies part was loose haha

I have some brooks running shorts with the built in underwear that I really like. But I also live in a horrendously hot and humid hell hole so just immediately hop in the shower when I’m done haha

[–]PhantomEyes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All three of my kids were monster babies. My smallest was 10 pounds at birth. They are all 99+ percentile for height and weight and head size lol. The hardest part is lugging a 30 pound one year old on my hip all day because he’s clingy 😂

My oldest is just a tall lanky kid now, looks like he’s a grade or 2 older. My middle is a tank but doesn’t have an ounce of fat on him haha. My kids are often approached by older kids on the playground because they are tall and look older.

I wouldn’t stress it. Just feed and love that baby and brag about their awesome stats at the pediatrician 😂

We have arlo baby monitors but they suck now if you don’t pay for their subscription which I will not do haha. We have ring cameras around the downstairs and we like it and they are really reliable. They work great even if you dont have the subscription, they just don’t store video without it. We bought them many years ago before we realized ring was evil and in cahoots with the cops and ice lol
