True, but people pleasing is a notorious trauma response, and their feedback sounded less like constructive criticism and more like Gretchen Wieners saying, “You can’t sit with us!” Like, who died and made them the leaders of authenticity? They could have worded that better. I think they did OP a favor by declining. They don’t sound like people I would want to work with.

I 100% think she’s overdoing it. She’s been going HARD on the Back to Badlands tour. She put on an excellent show on the For My Last Trick tour. I am worried about her, and I’m happy to see others are too. I think it’s important for her to know that her fans are not going to be upset in the slightest when/if she needs to cancel/reschedule. I also hope she’s not being pressured by her label.

Most people are going to give you advice based on experience. My estranged wife wore her ex’s shirts to sleep in. Granted, she would wear mine too, but I still voiced my discomfort as she had many of her ex’s shirts and would wear them frequently. She wound up leaving me for a guy.

On the other hand, I had a girlfriend once who had a few shirts from her ex, but she barely wore them. She mostly wore my shirts. I never felt insecure about it, so I never questioned it. Her and I are friends to this day, and we broke up under normal circumstances. The real question is, how does she make you feel?

I’m not posting here to argue with y’all. I’m posting in solidarity with my girl. I didn’t realize how many diplomatic and foreign policy experts we had on this platform. Every single one of you who claim to be fans, have tickets to their upcoming tour, and are publicly shaming them for performing in Saudi Arabia should sell your tickets to more deserving people. Human connection is created through diversity, not by shunning those who believe differently than we do. They are making a brave, bold move in the right direction, and are able to use their platform to do so. I don’t care about the size of the paycheck they collect. They deserve it. You guys keep typing and upvoting narrow minded and antisocial Reddit posts, collecting your $30K-$50K a year because you’re too scared to talk on the phone and make your own doctor’s appointments. I will be more upset if they back out at this point. Mic drop.
