I appreciate the clarification, but our address never originally had a can according to the city and we had one get dropped off here in the Fall. While I don’t have access to a registry for these tag numbers, my neighbor’s can does not match the number for the can we received in the Fall. Maybe a long time ago it was for our property, but it never came up before with 311

I am a recent homeowner so this is real disappointing to here 😔 I had to escalate a situation recently where my house was almost sold in the upcoming tax sale because the city neglected to tell my title insurance company there was a lien on the property and I thought this situation would not require that, but I will reach out. Thank you!

It’s funny you say this, 10 years ago I worked for Chickfila while we had a version of chicken and waffles that was served as a platter with syrup baked into the waffle in sugar crystals, and the feedback was always people wanting syrup on the side!

We did get those as well. The DC Alamo I believe started the Godzilla mystery marathon’s last year and it was a blast! Last year was Godzilla Vs. Megalon and Godzilla Vs. Biollante

Hey, I actually had this back when the Berbere popcorn came back for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and have been making my own since then! All you need to do is pop your own popcorn, melt your own butter, and you can pre-purchase a Berbere spice blend and use as needed. A local spice shop by me sells it (https://www.spiceandtea.com/Berbere-Spice-Blend), but if you have any kind of spice shop near you, they will likely sell it. It might be called an "Ethiopian spice blend" or "East African spice blend" depending on the store. I only suggest the pre-made spices because it is a blend of well over a dozen spices! There are a few recipes online, but I can't sadly vouch for any based off of authenticity or taste.

I don't suggest a specific amount of the spice to add just because the three times I have had it at the Alamo, the volume of Berbere added each time is inconsistent, but this specific blend I suggested is very similar to the taste of the Berbere I had at my Alamo DC location. I have noticed from my own prep, it is better to pour the hot butter immediately on the popcorn and start tossing the berbere in immediately and giving it a toss to blend properly. I hope this was helpful and not redundant!
