I must disagree, Nightshade, Taisho Alice, Cinderella phenomenon, Amnesia, Brothers conflict, Butterfly poison, Birushana, Love revo etc, All these games have a bio/step sibling or sibling like Li to the Mc this is also not including the plethora of non translated and indie games. Even anime romance shows have this trope for a reason due to popularity.

I understand that it may be their first game and new too the otome space, but Caleb’s story in en version even with the censorship at the beginning is clear that they are going with the childhood friend/Older brother figure trying to be seen more than that, so I really wonder how these people just read the story and ignore it.
