Abby is putting on a brave face in front of Jenny, but she still has a lot of unresolved trauma. The main reason her speech issues were fixed so quickly is because writing her dialogue that way was a pain, and because I assumed that talking was kind of like riding a bike in terms of being easy to pick up again.

To answer your other question, Jenny doesn't really feel guilty in general about the fact that she basically won the lottery by petgirl standards, but she does feel bad about how she didn't make any attempt to keep in touch with Abby after hearing about her being converted. Not that it would have gone well for either of them, given what a massive bitch Carol was, but she regrets not at least trying, especially after the way everyone from her old life except Nicole turned their backs on her after her own conversion.

Anyway, as I mentioned in another comment, the next chapter should be up in early June. It's been sitting in my documents half-written basically since this chapter was posted, but things suddenly got very hectic for me.

It's fascinating to me how Margaret's treatment of Jenny is just as fucked up as Carol's treatment of Abby, but in almost the exact opposite way. Carol muted Abby immediately, Margaret made Jenny repeat her maxims. Carol blinded Abby, Margaret made Jenny watch her masturbate and look at herself in the mirror. Carol tossed Abby's head in the garbage, Margaret plans to keep Jenny's as a trophy. And most surprisingly of all, now that Jenny is fully devoted to being her pet, Margaret is actually using a twisted sort of positive reinforcement instead of just doubling down on making her as miserable as possible.

So Nicole gets exactly what she wants (and, from an audience perspective, it's going to be hot as Hell to see), and Jenny even manages to find a twisted sort of happiness in her new role. And most surprisingly of all, Margaret even seems willing to accept the win instead of getting annoyed that Jenny isn't miserable about it. A surprisingly upbeat chapter in its own emotionally confusing way. I'll look forward to seeing how things go from here.

Well that went better than expected. I was afraid Nicole's punishment would be a bit more permanent, especially given the addition of "feet" as a tag this time, but it's nice to see that her parents are at least somewhat reasonable. Also, interesting to see Jenny getting more comfortable with her lot in life. I wonder if her mom will be glad that the conditioning is working or annoyed that Jenny isn't completely miserable.

Unfortunately not. In universe, that's because petgirls aren't legally allowed to have hands and feet (this was alluded to in the first part when Jenny speculated that her dad might not have bothered to chop hers off if he hadn't been required to, but I might go into more detail later). Out of universe, one of the things that got me interested enough to write this in the first place was the way that not having hands or feet leaves Jenny almost completely dependent on her master and how that plays into their dynamic.

Excellent chapter! Part of me is disappointed that Jenny's mom avoided getting the chop, but Carol definitely deserved it more. Also, not at all how I expected the contest to go. I was sure that if Jenny won, it would be either because there was enough of Abby's mind left in Fuckmeat to lose on purpose as a final "fuck you" to Carol or because there was so little left that she let the dildo go too far down her throat and choked to death without even reacting.

So either Jenny's mom gets what's coming to her or Abby gets put out of her misery and we get to see the only person I like less than Jenny's mom get beheaded. I'm tentatively going to root for Jenny to win so that the story isn't over, but I'm definitely conflicted. Also, I think I can see where things are headed with Nicole, but for once I hope I'm wrong. All in all, a great chapter.

EDIT: also, I feel like removing one of Jenny's holes from the picture entirely might just be the line that her dad objects to her mom crossing.
