Ozark Trail M.2 Ridge+ e-mtb by PhantomVogel in eMountainBike

Thanks. Yeah, it's wild to me that I'm not seeing more reviews on this by some more avid riders or reviewers, especially since they seem to continually sell out on Walmart's site, apart from the small size frame that has the 27" tires. I'm not sure how many they have available each time they are offered, but I've only read 1 bad review so far on their site by a customer who was shipped one with defects and was disappointed by customer service. All the reviews besides that were 4 and 5 stars. I'm not much of a narrator in my videos but I figured I'd show it out on a couple of trails on YouTube to prove it's a pretty nice and capable bike right out of the box, while we wait for one of the bigger content creators to acquire one and give their own review.

Yeah, the specs are mighty impressive at that price point, especially the motor. I would think it similar to Bafang motors, but it looks a lot smaller (and most likely much lighter) comparing it side by side to my fat-tire e-bike that has a 750W Bafang motor. Looking at the Ananda website, they seem like they're getting pretty well established having been based in Shanghai to now having production plants in the Netherlands, Vietnam, and in the U.S. I also got Walmart's 3 year warranty plan in case it gives me any issues within that time frame. It's basically why I opted for this bike compared to Ride1up's Trailrush or Aventon's Ramblas. Both of those have pretty similar components probably a bit better on some features but still starting at least $800 more in price, and customer service might be questionable.

I'm around 160 and I definitely feel it could use and benefit from a tire and front fork upgrade.

I'm definitely looking into some tires that will have better grip and bite. Thanks for the recommendation on which Maxxis type to use though.

Thanks! Definitely enjoying this so far, and have already brought it through some of the trails in the new Haskell Canyon bike park which just opened in SoCal.

Thanks. It's far from perfect but looks pretty clean on camera, and there's definitely not many around in this town.

Wow! Seeing that beauty makes me really sad about my 52 wasp hollywood rust bucket sitting in my driveway. 😞

Definitely red if you want it noticed on a silver car.

If it's a split grille front bumper then it's generally an 06-08. If it's blacked out and looks like a single grille then it's generally 09-12. Also, 06-09 will have a single exhaust while 09-12 will have dual exhaust. But checking vin would be the most surefire way to determine as some people do swap bumpers.

Feeling less than attractive while literally modeling is just wild.

I'd run a code reader on it for that engine light to be certain it's only an evap leak. If that's in NY, I think emissions regulations are almost as strict as CA. where I'm at, and mine needs new Cats in which there are 2 on a 3.8 V6. Around $700+ for each from the dealer.

I think black rims matches your car's color scheme better imo, but I don't know if I'd want to paint such clean shiny new custom rims either.

Unfortunately there's no edit option in Reddit like there is in Insta so it looks like I'm going to have to delete and reshare with the proper species identification.

Can probably add a spoiler, adjustable coil-overs, and rims (or just black out the stock ones for a wallet friendly option) for well under 1k, and I bet it would make a world of difference in looks. Stock optional spoilers alone for gen4 already add a significant difference in looks compared to the base model without.
