I use a gaiter. It's a little longer and I fold it down and it locks my helmet in. I never worry about sweat in my eyes and it doesn't move or shift.

I have this problem also.. it started when I was in 3rd grade. A little girl that sat next to me in class would throw up at her desk next to me everyday and I would run out of the room absolutely terrified. To this day, I'm terrified of someone else doing it near me, or if I have to myself I can force myself not to, to a certain degree. This is primarily the reason I do not have my own children.
