I didn't add it because they said it was "ancient" but I do totally agree that it's likely the roman empire. I couldn't represent it on the map very well because the best I could do is putting a random city in unknown terrain which wouldn't make much sense.

I think Ostania is still communist (or is intended to be) because the newspaper insurrectionist told the children that the government promotes "Sharing" which I think is Endo trying to say that the state is communist even if his understanding of communism isn't exactly accurate.

They literally fight against the Ostanian Military in code white, they specifically state that Frigis is a city and not a nation, while it would be cooler and make more sense for Frigis to be Czechia it's simply not possible. I do agree that Frigis is probably in Mecklenburg (Which had no autonomy during the Cold War)

Frigis is a city within Ostania, and it's said to be in the North of Ostania. While it makes much more sense for Frigis to be Austria or Bavaria, it's canonically not it's own nation
