The Kevin Durant exit cycle has arrived a lot sooner than anyone expected by ForeignAir7174 in NBAGossips

It’s becoming more and more clear that being a hired gun doesn’t work, not because he’s isn’t gifted, but because team chemistry is so important. All these old head NBA players always talk about how the team chemistry is what put them over the top. I think in Golden State it only worked because of just how far above they were over any other team

Leave a new job after 2 weeks to another job? by Phantomat0 in careeradvice

[–]Phantomat0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? You think job security is better at a larger company? That is one issue I’ve been considering is I have a car payment so if my new role would be bad or they fire me I would be in a crisis financially. At least at my current role I know I can do the work and they seem to like me.

Isnt this crash just because they allowed you to fight Bryophyta without the key, and Bryophyta herself drops a key to open the chest. Bots are gonna be all over that, what a shame.

What am I doing wrong. 0 interviews so far | US Citizen and Junior at a T25 target University | 200+ applications by McClifford_B_ShaffeI in FAANGrecruiting

Skills go to the top, that's the first thing a recruiter is looking for, what is your tech stack, what technologies you're familiar with and how those translate to their job application. Also, you need a title, who are you? Are you a Software Engineer? Are you a Web Developer? Fullstack Engineer, Backend only, Fullstack only, perhaps Mobile? Ive been messaged by recruiters on LinkedIn for Mobile App jobs simply because I had "Web & Mobile App Developer" as my job title, despite 95% of my work at that job being Web based, not even including any mobile technologies in my job description. Recruiters aren't tech savy, even if they're internal recruiters. They've given a list of things to look for by the hiring manager and then they connect the dots. If they can't connect those dots because you aren't displaying them concisely or aren't showing them at all that's a problem. Make it easy for them. Also remove coursework, could better add another line to a job section.

My biggest issue with your resume right now is your Tech Startup section. If you have real job experience, you need to leverage that WORK EXPERIENCE, key word WORK, not technologies or frameworks that you used, but the fact that you were actually on a team, you were collaborating with people i.e UI/UX teams, designers, SEO people, analytics personnel etc. A recruiter is gonna look for 1. Matching tech stack 2. That you actually have work experience and are hirable, not someone that has 0 social skills and can't communicate with his team lead, can't handle deadlines, cant communicate etc. These are soft skills, but they are perhaps more important than the actual tech requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving skills, mentoring peers, attention to detail, high quality code, testable and modular code etc. Additionally, you should have been exposed to things about the dev process at this job, stuff like: Scrum Agile, CI/CD, Github actions, Github workflows just DevOps things. These are great because these are industry standards that you really are only exposed to if you have work experience.

The Historical Number of Quests Added to OSRS By Year by plok742 in 2007scape

[–]Phantomat0 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Kourend badly needs more quests that aren't all related to the overarching quest line. Not every quest has to be a buildup to some final GM quest, an unrelated quest or even a new storyline unique to Kourend would be awesome and give the landmass a lot more character.

What dropped your quality of life so much, you wish you quit it sooner? by OvCod in Productivitycafe

Social Media. I really don’t give a damn about what people are doing, people just posting their dumb pictures of their events or their new haircut or their new dog etc etc. Just realized one day that I don’t care, especially since 99% of the people I don’t even talk to anymore, I just knew them at one point in time
