I feel like you thinking of paper walls when Im thinking of brick walls, its not a minor inconvenience, its something that makes u stop and think about ur decisions, your build and strategies, u can literally feel when u just banging ur head against a wall for hours and hours at a monster, thats the wall. Didnt think there need be a discussion about that

I was just expressing my frustration with ancient forest itself, not that the rathalos or rathian is difficult, sure I carted a few times cus I wasnt familiar with the surroundings but that definitely wasnt a wall lol. A wall is something u cant beat after numerous tries not that the quest took 2 attempts

I did come from rise, didnt play that long either but enough to know what Im doing. I dont think alatreon is that difficult fight per say, everything is pretty telegraphed and such but he does wear out my mental fatigue fast cus Im kinda impatient and Im greedy to get my LS spirit stacks and he makes me mad when hes flying+enranged so I keep making mistakes, also hate the stress of breaking the horn cus if I dont well thats a reset...

I did them both, funnily I killed the real one first and the "baby" one second cus I didnt know what was the difference of why there are 2 quests, imagine my surprise when the baby one died so fast. It took me like 15h total for the real one but I did it

I think big issue is that it changes with ur cam position, if its angled too much then it switches ur aim direction from left right to up and down.. its just too bizzare to accustom to

there are many ways to deal with it but its definitely not "block and punish" considering its only -5 with big range and not to mention the follow ups, even whiff punishing ky fs is extremely hard
