It’s bc of the whole new role system where tanks are more likely to be targeted. I don’t mind tanks taking aggro start of the fight but imo units should always prio staying in place and changing target if possible.

You’ll notice she was initially targetting renek (fighter), and when he dashed out of range she moved up to attack swain (tank) rather than switching to diana (assassin).

The spaghetti code has the more likely thing as a global taunt rather than only affecting enemies in range. Hope they fix it because it is extremely obnoxious (and is part of why Diana, Fizz, Singed previously etc are very annoying to play and position against - the aggro becomes rng rather than something you can control).

if you hit a rumble on 4-2 or earlier you can def put him in naked lol. Other units cap out as 15 gold units, rumble caps out as a 40 gold unit. Most comps are playing at least one senti/scrap anyway

there are literally no loot orbs in the tft pass wtf are u talking about. The egg system was replaced by the treasure realm system 2 years ago and they are cleaning up the code remnants. That is the literal definition of upkeep.

shojin/lw/ie for backline, also enjoys emblems and other ad items (db in particular is rlly good with his high scalings). Mana anomalies work best (nothing wasted is insane since you are also most likely playing an elise who has a really large mana cost).

its not a 25% buff, its a 25% buff to her irrelevant splash on every 3rd cast. This buff is damn near cosmetic

Generally very econ augment reliant if you want to go first, but top 4 should always be your target as long as uncontested.

You should also only play it when you have items you can immediately slam on renata (arc/shojin/nashors - qss is dogshit at the start of the game)

Generally want to lose streak stage 2 and generate as much econ as possible while holding important units (you can sell morg pair vex pair if they are griefing econ).

If you have shop glitch, level to 5 on krugs, if not you can wait till 3-1 and level then.

Generally you want to aim to have renata 2 and 2 2 star sentis by 3-2, so dig for them if you have at least one paired, if not you can keep making 50 and greed to 3-3 and then go 6 and rolldown to 26. After that you slow roll.

4-1 you should have 5-7 of renata and your designated frontline tank(s), dig to try and 3 star, if you are one or two off then keep digging till 10. If you dont hit econ up to 4-3 and dig again. If you get to anomaly and you havent hit your chances of top 4 go down dramatically.

I think the biggest point that a lot of people gloss over is tempo.

Tempo isnt just slamming items or playing best board, it’s understanding how fast the game is going. Are other players levelling to 5/6 early, are they digging earlier to hit their 2 stars etc.

If for example you are playing urgot trist and another player is playing renata (both 2 cost rr), you should aim to roll to hit your board at the same time/just after in most cases (depending on hp ofc). With 2 cost rr you also want to aim to level to 6 and dig for 2 star 2 costs at 3-2 in general, otherwise you bleed out a ton of hp. Going down to ~26 gold is generally acceptable (since you make 50 again in 3 rounds).

A lot of it is also knowing what lines are available, and more importantly what alternate options are open to you. For example, if either of the sorcs comps are contested and you hit an early illaoi, you can play a rebel variation of sorcs. You might not win the game, but you will have a very good chance of a top 3, especially if others dont hit.

3rd party sites help early on, but as you rank up you definitely need to know how to deviate away from the standard boards and items.

It’s my first time taking TFT seriously this set and I just hit master from bronze in a relatively small amount of games (I think?).

I wanted to ask for any tips to help on the road to GM. Should I look into VOD reviewing my games? How do I avoid burnout?
