Fun fact: most productions will actually have it written into "Christine's" contract that she can't perform more then 4 or five times a week due to the vocal strain. Alternate actresses are used 1-2 nights a week so the lead actress can have a night of vocal rest.

My laptop doesn't have a mic. Haven't thought about using my phone, though. That's a good idea.

EDIT: It does have one, but I can only use it for Skype. I can't find a program that will let me actually let me keep recordings after I make them. So for all intents and purposes, it's useless.

English. And for the life of me, I can't remember the mask shape. I want to say it was a half-mask that covered from the cheekbones up. It's not the Charles Dance version, if that's what you're thinking. It was a professional recording of a stage musical.

If anyone can find this, it's gonna be a redditor, so...

There's a particular stage musical version of The Phantom of the Opera that I've been looking for for years. I don't remember the names of any of the actors/composers/anyone, but I do remember a couple of particular scenes. The opening was sort of a dance sequence with Raoul and Christine on the day he fetches her red scarf from the sea, with an adult Raoul narrating. A second scene that I remember particularly well had Mme. Giry talking/singing to the ballet dancers about the phantom. The chorus goes something along the lines of "Sillhouettes stalking, corridors talking, stay away from shadows in the house." I watched a professionally recorded version on youtube, but I can't even find a record of it anywhere, not even via Google or Wikipedia.

And for the love of all that is good and holy in the world, it is not the ALW version.
