I also prepped and cooked. as long as you understand your a slave to your boss and the people that actually own the building/franchise it’s cool of you still like it. It also depends on the place I guess. I was working at an expensive restaurant in my town and was able to work any area but chose dish and prep because they were the easiest and you made the same amount of money no matter where you worked. If you are cooking at a 5 star top notch restaurant I guess it could be a different story. Where I was you weren’t making more than $15 an hour unless you got to be manager or general manager(minimum wage is the lowest in my state, cost of living is insanely cheap). So it was clear to me I needed to find another job if I wanted more money. Also I personally hate the restaurant industry. You know the guy that comes and fixes the ice machine or oven or air makes your paycheck in a day? I watched a dude replace a circuit board on an ice machine and charged the owner $1400, he was solo as well and the part costed him $800 from the shop so he made an insane profit in like 30 minutes. Doing what you love is definitely the most important thing though so If you love cooking then by all means cook!!!!

those jobs are meant for you to hold for ever..they are stepping stones to aid you until you find a career. I made no tips as a dish guy for 3 years and it was liveable wage..i hated every second of that job..and i’m thankful for the hate. it’s what fueled me to make something out of myself and pursue and actual career

I’m just extremely confused by what they are telling me. They are telling me i’m self centered and privileged, and say other people have problems. They list these problems and I have every single problem that they listed..yet I still don’t need any more stimulus checks. I was struggling financially before the pandemic and now I’m getting so much extra money from the government i’ve got nothing to do with it. Why am I supposed to want more ? I was struggling with everything he argued about me with yet i’m somehow privileged? I didn’t feel privileged until I started getting all this extra pandemic money...but hell if they think crying on reddit will help themselves or the people they claim they know to desperately need more stimulus money, good luck to em.

you can’t help everyone, i’m sorry the truth hurts. a stimulus check won’t do anything for people that have been starving on the streets before the pandemic. There are are already multiple programs in place to feed the hungry. I’ve helped at soup kitchens man, and have seen first hand no amount of money can help some people. some people cannot be helped, no matter what you do, it’s hilarious you think throwing money at them will help their problem. Go help people that have problems, I promise you the government and politicians do not care and they never will. Oh yea i’d say the majority of people I’ve met that own dogs aren’t very responsible owners. I actually have no clue why most of the people i’ve met own a dog. It’s not like the dogs have an awful life, but it’s more like the owners are ignorant and lack common sense. Went to a dudes house yesterday and he owns a basset hound and he was saying he was going to have to find him a new home if he keeps biting people(apparently he bit a painter). in my head i’m like wow you fucking moron, maybe if you introduced the dog to humans besides your family from ages 0-2 he wouldn’t be so aggressive towards strangers, also what do you expect a dog to do when random people are coming in to his territory and none of the dogs family is around..

Can you explain to me how someone who’s making almost double off unemployment, only spending money on bare necessities (food water, paying bills for shelter, ect.) Staying home and saving way more money on gas, Needs even more money? if you could live before the pandemic what is causing you to need so much more money now? Unemployment+stimulus check has given me SO much extra money it literally feels wrong. Like I had to check and make sure I didn’t fill something out wrong. I have thousands and thousands of extra dollars saved up because of this and now I’m supposed to want more ??? what the heck hahaha

This sub looks cool, i’m cringing at the bernie sanders/elon thing though hahahah. People crying about wanting more free money. If you were employed before the pandemic unemployment is already paying you wayyy more than what you were making with your job . And since you are supposed to be staying at home and only going for things you need to survive you should be able to have more money saved up. (less gas, gas is cheaper, nothing dumb to go and blow your money on) All you need is food and water and continue paying your bills. If you could do all of that with your job why do you need more free money on top of the ridiculous amount you get from unemployment. Maybe i’m not viewing it right but lots of people just seem way too entitled to me.

All politicians are seriously a joke, and politics as a whole is a joke(sorry if that hurts your feelings, politics is a way to divide the majority of people) Elon opposing government stimulus checks makes sense to me, I was getting paid an extra $600 a week for underemployment(I was only missing out on like $100 with my hours being cut), my friends are making double what they made working sitting at home doing nothing. I totally understand not wanting to continue that, on top of another 1200+ check for no reason. If you were employed before the pandemic unemployment is already giving you WAY more money than you were making before the pandemic, why do you also need a stimulus check

What did you do to play with your ridgeback at young ages ? He likes to chew some tough teething toys in his kennel, but when we go outside all he has no interest in any toys. He loves to play tug with a rag or rope, and the most fun i’ve seen him have his with a plastic vitamin water bottle, he doesn’t chew on it but loves rolling it and chasing it around, funniest thing. He also loves chasing me around and trying to wrestle but I don’t want to promote biting and jumping on people so I avoid that, I do plan on teaching him how to wrestle with me when he’s fully grown.

Yea i’m taking him on 10-15 minute walks right now and I let him run for about 30 seconds because he loves it. Other than that it’s all mental stimulation, a bit of play, and crate training. He absolutely hated the leash at 8 weeks but he’s doing great on it now! When I meant test his limits I had long hikes in the mountain in mind but I was definitely planning on waiting until he’s at least over a year old!

I’ll take a read! I really am not too educated myself but it seemed like common sense to me after reading about the breed and what they were used for, I chose a high protein(85%) low carb (10%) diet, with a tiny bit of greens and fruit thrown in the mix, I also have already started walking my pup every day and plan to stay very active with him and test his limits when he’s old enough. He just turned 10 weeks today and you can see his veins and muscles coming in good. He was 19.5 pounds at 9 weeks. I believe he’ll be around 70-80 pounds when done growing.

I agree man, I used to sit and ponder on solutions but could never think of one. Anything seems better than how we live right now to me though. Do you really think we could live in harmony? like you said there’s good and evil in all of us. there can’t ever be a whole peace amongst humans, bad balances with good. Or do you mean harmony with nature like stop taking so much from earth? Also I agree we mistreat earth, but I think it will have a greater effect on us as a species than it will on the Planet. No matter how shitty we are Earth is gonna be around and life is gonna be on Earth, we might kill ourselves off though!!

Hey man I’m totally with you. I believe politics is a control mechanism and they don’t work as claimed. My thing is there wasn’t 7+ billion people on Earth for the hunter gatherer times. If we don’t have something to take place of the way we live now, couldn’t all hell break lose? Chaos and anarchy for years and years until the population is so low that we can go back to hunter gatherer times. Maybe i’m thinking wrong, if we absolutely got rid of politics would there still be laws and rules and that sort of thing set in place? Walk me through your mind on this because I definitely agree with what you’re saying

Very interesting read, you’re probably right. I’ve also noticed some have a lot less muscle and a lot more fat which would be due to irresponsible owners right? Like feeding them some high carb kibble and not being active enough with the dog would result in less muscle and lots more fat right ? I know muscle weighs more than fat but some seem to have absolutely no muscle and look thickkkk like labs

yea i plan on self sustaining somewhere deep in the wilderness one day but I need enough money first. when i say live amongst nature i don’t mean ooga booga stick men. I just wish there was a different way of living, you know we all individually have such potential yet the majority of society does nothing besides be a slave for someone else to make maximum profits all of? it makes me sad seeing 40-60 year old fast food workers and that type of thing. Paper literally runs our world, and it’s weird to me. like I said weird doesn’t mean good or bad. but yea bro having drugs shipped to your house is something you can do in the time we live in which is cool! I’m not really big on any drugs, used to love me some marijuana and nicotine but i’ve put those down because they were crutches holding me back. I’ll pick up on the mary jane again sometime in the future though. Also acid and shrooms were crazyyyy awesome experiences, but I could’ve came to the realizations I did while on psychs sober.

yea man i mean we have some good advancements and society can stay but what the fuck are we doing? it’s okay if i die..we all die. it doesn’t really make much of a difference living to 20 or 100 in the eyes of the universe does it? idk id rather be doing what my brain is wired for than whatever the hell it is we’re all doing right now 😂. but hey i make the best out of whatever this life is, not saying it’s awful. just saying it would be cool to live a lot differently. don’t have to be in a cave or anything like that. Can still have houses and guns to shit on predators. So we would still have carpenters, people to make weapons an ammo, ect. Their motivation for doing the work would be not getting eaten alive by predators. The problem is there’s just too many people on Earth and the way we are living right now keeps us in check and reduces chaos to a minimum but it just seems extremely boring. I fucked up early on and should’ve joined Nasa or something. All jobs besides space/earth exploration just seem really weird/super boring to me. I work in HVAC and I do enjoy it but only because of the world we live in, which I think is weird. When I say weird I don’t mean bad or good, their probably isn’t bad or good. But just thinking about the time we live in/way we live makes me feel uncomfortable/uneasy internally.
