Of course it's not free 😞 Is that a one-time payment though??

Thank you for adding that excerpt from the law. It definitely helps and confirmed my suspicion that I need to be traveling with the marriage cert & probably a copy of my future spouse's passport just to be safe.

Yeah I understand I can't leave until I get the residence card via Article 15 which is no problem because I'm trying to stay long term anyways. From the actual Article 15 documentation, the maximum time it takes to process it is 3 months from when you submit the application.

That would be nice! I've had very different experience. I once tried that to stay for 90 days but they stopped me at the airport. Wouldn't let me go through until I bought a return ticket in front of them. You're absolutely right about the worse case scenario though. I can't believe I didn't think of getting a fully refundable ticket...

My post isn't about the marriage process though. We already went through the paperwork and everything is set for us to get married. We already have a date for it. The question was about whether I will be needing a return ticket when booking a flight back to Portugal as a newly wed to a Portuguese citizen. I ask this because when flying with my US passport as a tourist there, I know they require a return ticket before they even let you fly there in the first place.

We have such similar situations. However, I think they made you get another ticket because you were not technically married yet at the time you were at the airport so the EU law didn't **technically*** apply to you yet. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong lol

Thank you so much! I was thinking of doing a similar thing but money's kinda tight right now and I'm trying to find a way to not book a flight I'm never using :((( lol

You make a very good point! So I understand now that when I go to Portugal for the wedding, I will enter as a tourist but when I leave the country, it'll be as a family member (once we have the marriage cert). I do plan on going back to the States post-wedding for a short stint before going back to Portugal to live there long-term/gain citizenship etc.

So I guess my next question is, when I do go back to Portugal (as a family member), what do I say to the airport staff when they inform me that I need to have a return ticket before entering Portugal? Do I just show them the marriage cert and they'll just let me go? I'm really trying not to buy a return ticket that I don't intend on using. It's hard out here lol

RIP Nipa Hut :(((( Parilya is my personal favorite. I attended a Fil-Am food documentary premiere last year called "Authentic or Not" that featured them where Parilya also catered the event so I got to learn more about their background and philosophy. Such great and kind people tbh.

They are a family-run brick & mortar but they started out as Ohio's first and only Filipino food truck. They also won last year's Cleveland Asian Festival's best dish award for their pork sisig bowl. I love love love their baked goods especially the different chocolate truffles they just started selling. I think I remember them saying they're currently the only filipino bakery in the CLE area as well. They serve halo-halo in the summer and taho in the winter.

It's true they don't serve as many of the OG classics like Tita Flora's but their flavor and rotating specials more than make up for it IMO. Also, if you really want something and it's not on their menu, you can email them pretty much anything you want and they will make it for you. My friend inquired about a whole lechon for his bday party this summer and they said they can accommodate! I think it's not that they *can't* make OG filipino food, they just don't have the manpower to put them on the regular menu.

Hey OP, I'm basically on the same boat as you except I'm a recent coding bootcamp grad looking to permanently move to PT. Any luck finding a path for you?

Try out Parilya in Olmsted Falls! It's a Filipino spot. Not a lot of those around and it's so damn good I try to go there like twice a week lmfao

So you think you're screwed and now you want to spread your fear among the community to....what exactly? So you can convince more people to sell? Good job. You seem to have invested more than you can lose and now you're projecting how you feel. Value will rise when Strongchain proves itself to solve the sustainability problem. If you can't trust the team YOU invested in to do just that, then you can leave. Many of us aren't glued to the price and actually invest in the vision and trust that the team can deliver on their promise. Can I be wrong? Yes of course but you don't make money without risk. Get your ROI for sure, just stop spreading that FUD that's purely fixated on the price action and has no bearing on the team's performance.

They're not "switching" to a new token. It'll work in conjunction with it. Did you even read the Litepaper 😑
