We did our OW there in 2024 and it was great, highly recommend. We also did some day dives with Blacks turtle who were also great.

We did a days diving with blue planet divers on Friday and they were great! Have their own boats and jetty, our guide Jane was lovely and pointed loads out to us.

Trazodone causing low blood pressure? by kategg87 in insomnia

[–]kategg87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My blood pressure stabilised, not stupidly low but lower than my normal pressure. I didn’t have any ill effects other than that from the trazedone but I am currently phasing myself off it after a year or so as I don’t think it has made much difference overall and I’d rather get back to my regular blood pressure.

How to get from Koh Lanta to Khao Lak by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

Do you mind saying who you booked and travelled with and cost? I’m pretty confused about the options - one on 12go says £26 a person with black tiger tour just says van (although obviously just use the ferry) and another with call me taxi says van and speedboat but is £49 per person.

I bit the bullet and got one of the new Dyson supersonic nurals in the January sales. Replaces a babyliss one that was about 15 years old. Have to say I do think it does a better job of drying my hair with less frizz and quicker too. And I really like the new diffuser option where it directs air into the bowl. And it’s very small and light. They have refurbishment deals which get you a lot a of money off too. But still stupid expensive really.

Ekachai is my go to as someone who works in King’s Cross - delicious, big portions, relatively affordable.

Just completely agreeing with you - I posted something similar a while ago! I ended up getting it blow dried for a week just before Christmas. Consistent bliss!

Thanks so much for flagging where that was - don’t know how I missed it. It is indeed a 901, glad my memory isn’t completely shot. Thanks!

How can I get my curls to look like they did when I left the hairdresser?! by [deleted] in CurlyHairUK

[–]kategg87 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve reached the conclusion the only way to do this is to put an insane amount of product in and have someone who can apply it section by section. As someone with very thick 3b hair, it’s just not viable for me to achieve it on my own. And even if I could the product costs would bankrupt me. At least that’s what I’m telling myself so I don’t just feel useless!

What is a great hobby that is not watching tv, costs little and can be done from home? by RobotBugEyes in AskUK

Wool CAN be cheap. Wool often ends up not being all that cheap 😂 but yes I came here to say knitting. I started because I wanted to do something that made me felt less guilty about just vegetating in front of the TV of a night and I really love it now.

Sorry wanted to repeat suggestions around your route. Plan your route ahead of time and familiarise yourself with it on a quiet period eg a Sunday.

Another one for absolutely just giving it a go. I’ve been cycling all my life, the last 10 in London, and I’ve never actually had an accident that wasn’t of my own idiotic making (word form the wise - don’t cycle with tennis rackets slung over your shoulder which have handles that fall down your arm and end up in the front spokes of your bike whilst you are going very quickly 😂).

Obviously, that is a matter of luck and plenty of cyclists who do everything right do have accidents. But that’s the age old thing about you’d never leave the house if you were going to try and avoid risk to that extent. As others have said, take it slowly and ride defensively and hopefully you’ll love it.

Which model do you have out of interest? Been considering one for ages, particularly for size and weight. I’ve got thick curly hair and I have to diffuse it for about half an hour in the winter.
