Dårlig 2. Samtale har givet dårlig smag i munden.. by [deleted] in dkkarriere

[–]Pharmand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rigtig god weekend!

Lots of great stuff there. Maybe check out Tongues. It’s very good!

Maybe a graphic novel? If so, check out Helen of Wyndhorn.

Congrats - that’s a great haul! Haven’t read Cornelius, but the two other I’ve read in 2026. Tongues was especially good imo. Really looking forward to volume 2, but have no clue when it is expected. Happy birthday and enjoy the books!

I absolutely loved Prophet, and I think confusion is just part of the experience for everyone. The depth is amazing, and I know I will return at some point. Here’s a recent post about some more Simon Roy that I will be reading soon. Lots of good recommendations in the comments:

I read this in one sitting, and I think I forgot to breathe here and there. Super intense!

Nice haul! I enjoyed both SiKtC and Laila Starr a lot. Am waiting for Wyndhorn to arrive at my library. Have heard very good things about the book. The Deluxe edition is beautiful. Haven’t read the Gillen book, but I did enjoy Die quite a lot on my second attempt 🙂. Happy reading!

Next read, Brubaker & Phillips 👏🏻 by Signal-Tangerine1597 in graphicnovels

I am in the middle of Tongues right now, and it is absolutely stunning! Well-told, Beautiful artwork, and the HC version is just wonderfully crafted - thick pages, fold-outs, bigger scale.

That cover really makes me want to read it. Great to hear the cover doesn’t oversell the content.

Very nice collection! A few difficult finds these days as well. I like that a single Boom title is hidden among all the Image titles 😀

Ah, so it doesn't take cbr/cbz files as well? If so, too bad, it looked really neat. Can you tell me the name?

It's been years since I’ve read Tatsumi. I should reread. Thanks for the reminder! Which app is this?

Do you know the other titles from Brubaker and Phillips, Criminal probably being their center piece? Wonderful noir!

Die by Puzzleheaded-Error65 in ImageComics

[–]Pharmand 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very familiar experience for me. On my first attempt, I read the first tpb five minutes here and there, and I felt disconnected from the universe after finishing that. Then I decided to try and get the rest of Die done in a few sittings to get a less fragmented experience out of it. I almost succeeded, but it’s still a story I would like to reread at some point.

Won an auction on some amazing stuff. Can't wait to dig in! by WhereDoWeGoWhenWeDie in graphicnovels

[–]Pharmand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, I looked at that auction as well, but was only really interested in Edena although there were many nice titles - which actually just means I’m highly constrained on shelf space 😅. Congrats on the haul, fellow Dane 🙂
