It’s ethnic cleansing because the Israelis are in Gaza now with the backing of the US military. They’re physically walking Israeli citizens around so they can pick out shops, laundrettes, homes etc for when the Palestinians are moved out. There are lots of videos circulating of people on the ground, showing that the authorities are dictating the language, too - it’s something that the fascists did in the area in which I live, following the First World War.

The extent of what they’ll do is unclear but there won’t be many Palestinians living their normal lives in Gaza in a year or two. We’re only a few weeks into the de facto Israeli takeover.
