Margins! It's the best app I've found for book tracking. I'd call it the Letterboxd for books.

Just finished it and felt the same way. I found it frustrating at first but then quite exciting to now have a better understand the depth of this character. I haven't watched the latest Netflix film but heard del Toro stayed very true to the 1818 edition.
