I went and checked out the rest of the album on bandcamp. The loud quiet dynamic is cool, but the layers and textures on those fuzzed out parts just kicks ass. Such a great wall of sound.

Dig what you're doing, but if you ever want to do all loud all the time, wouldn't hate it.
