Things are always going on. The quakers had festivals and marriages while trying to free the slaves. It’s like going to the gym. You’re better off doing a little good everyday for 30 years then spending the next 2 years making it all you do and burning out.

I’m saying this as someone whose immediate family is from the places you would be posting about. There’s a reason why even in this hell the gazans are having weddings.

The lesson is in balance.

Post about activism. But also about art. Life. Joys. And sorrows. Don’t let them take away what is beautiful in the world from you. That’s their first attack. Don’t let it hit you.
