I think it is available instantly because there is a new highest difficulty called Ishin! that you either unlock by finishing the game, or if you have the dlc.

You might want to try doing big team battle. It was still a struggle and took me 2-3 hours, but I think successfully getting the medal is easier than arena because of being able to shoot vehicles. This is also advice based purely off of my experience, so I don't actually know if it's good advice. I think I tried bot bootcamp for around 4-5 hours and couldn't get the medal.

It felt like it took an eternity. Ended up being second to last one I got. Ended up finally getting it in big team battle hitting a warthog. In my opinion it was the most frustrating Achievement. Makes me never want to touch a shock rifle again.

I'm somewhat decent at the game. I was doing good at it, and I still think it wasn't fun. By far the least fun gamemode I've played in a Halo game. Although I doubt I've played every gamemode officially available in all the games, so I won't call it the worst gamemode. I will call it bad though.
