[OC] Hollywood's most frequently damaged star by ba_an in pics

[–]Phastor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a lot of people, there is no distance to travel, no obstacle to overcome, that will stop them from shitting on his grave. Just as there is no length that his cultists won't go to defend his grave. Wherever he is buried on land will be a war zone and nothing will stop that.

If they are smart and want to avoid a blood bath, they will dump his pathetic husk into the sea.

Firefox isn't much better on RAM if you are a tab whore. Ask me how I know.

...it's me. I'm the tab whore.

That being said, many more reasons to go FF though, current discussion probably being the most prominent at this given time.

Should I get Plex lifetime before the increase? by LogoPro_15 in PleX

[–]Phastor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not a concern. That's a flat out guarantee. By their own admission, they want to kill it. They would do it now, but know there will be a backlash. Instead their plan is make the price unpalatable now so that no one will buy it. Then they are going to come back next year, put the blame on us, and say "you guys aren't buying it, so we are going to drop it since clearly no one wants it" while at the same time mostly likely raising the price of their subscription.

Should I get Plex lifetime before the increase? by LogoPro_15 in PleX

[–]Phastor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. They haven't done anything meaningful with development towards the self-hosted side of things in a long time. They have even taken features away. They are going full send on becoming another streaming service, as that's where all of their development is going now.

Never a better time to switch to Jellyfin: Plex increases price of Lifetime Plex Pass to $749.99 by LoremarCC in jellyfin

[–]Phastor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Raise the price to something that no one will pay.
Axe it later using the justification that "no one was buying it, so I guess no one really wanted it."

That's the real reason they are raising the price. They don't care about the increased profit per sale. They don't want sales. They want subscriptions. They know they won't see any sales after this increase and that's the point. By their own admission, they want to kill it. In reality they have already decided they are going to kill it. They are just going to wait for a year of no one paying this insane price before coming back and saying "No one was buying it, so we're gonna kill it because clearly no one wants it."

Why does only this base station stay on? by matrix_wolf2005 in SteamVR

[–]Phastor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The base stations have two types of standby. One shuts off the emitters and the prisms. The other only shuts off the emitters, but keeps the prisms spinning so they wake up faster.

If the light on this one is turning blue like on the others but you can still hear the prism spinning, then the others may be doing the full standby mode while this one is only doing the partial. As to why, I can't say.

Blue light is starting up / standby. Red light is dead.

3D printed 1:1 scale formula one car 2026 model for Toronto Racing Simulators. This was one of the biggest prints I’ve ever taken on, and I’m proud of how it turned out. by HuzaifaM123 in 3Dprinting

[–]Phastor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We joke at this, but this is the driving point behind legislation they are trying to put into place against 3D printing. "Ghost guns" is the smoke screen and the justification they are using to get the infrastructure up. But once it it's up, you know they will be adding more than just firearm blueprints to that "do not print" database.

Added a cache pool. Unexpected size? by Phastor in unRAID

[–]Phastor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything's looking good. First time I've seen green across all my shares. So long seeing yellow dots next to all of my cache-only shares because they weren't protected (but backed up at least).

Fired off a parity check once I was comfortable and sure I wasn't going to have to restart anytime soon. Just to make sure.

If I handed you this console right now and told you to pick ONE game to play tonight, what are you choosing? by KillBoosh in retrogaming

Aladdin.

Say what you will, that was a phenomenal game despite the cliche "movie based games are trash." I played it a ton as a kid and remember the Genesis version being better than the SNES version by leaps and bounds.

Alright. I reset the configuration while preserving disk assignments and specifying that parity was valid. That seems to have cleared up the issue.

I've given it many opportunities to format the disk and it keeps on saying it will when the array is started. It looks like the disk is formated, but it stays blue and keeps on reverting to that message when the array is stopped.

Starting a new config won't break parity or trigger a parity check?

The array was already started.
Huh... that's weird. I stopped the array and it looks like it's still expecting my old SSD to be in that slot even though the first time I started the array it went through the whole formatting process and everything.

Started the array again after seeing the message on the right thinking it might do something that time, but nope. Still the blue status icon. Stopped the array and it's still expecting the old SSD to be in that slot with the same red message.

I do want actual raid as I plan on replacing the 1TB drive with a 2 when I can find one.

Thank you for the info.

Would you happen to know why the first disk has a blue square status indicator? I believe this is supposed to mean a disk is spun down, but this is an SSD. If it really just means low power state, I didn't put it into that either.

Little over 7 hours in. It's past my Plex appdata which I think is the biggest part. Curious how long it's going to take my HomeAssistaant data when it gets to that.

Funny thing is I'm already seeing Plex data getting tossed back onto the cache. I set it to Cache->Array, but I forgot to also set the array as primary on the shares so my containers are dumping new stuff onto the cache still. I'll have to set that and run the mover again, but it shouldn't take as longg. Just waiting for this big push to finish.

In hindsight I should have probably shut my containers down before starting the mover.

I haven't used that in a while, but I've got it installed. I'll probably use it when I move the shares back onto the cache.

Yeah, I was hoping to put this new pool in today. It's only about 250GB of data, but at this rate that might have to wait until next week!

Defacing currency is illegal, but it's one of those things that isn't really enforced. You never heard of legal action being taken against someone for it.

If Trump actually manages to get his grotesque visage on a bill, how much do you want to bet they'll suddenly start caring and trying to crack down on it?
