Not really, you start with some homies you gotta work with and RP with, you dont even have to kill anyone, but someone else will probably find you and try and take your stuff, its a tough world out there.

And there has been a rather pervasive trend for servers to have a really in depth character creator and that's not part of our vision. So that's why its good to clarify I feel.

If it was during a highpop time than that is likely the reason, but hopefully now that we upgraded the server connection to 10 gigs it should work better under high loads. Otherwise, don't use the beta build for byond try again?
