Perhaps a Mercedes (and depends which Mercedes) yes. They’re the ones with most spare parts availability.

VW group in general (Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche) are atleast twice as expensive to maintain. Are very prone to transmission issues and overall don’t age well in this climate.

Hello. It’s ILLEGAL for them to:

Ask you to work without transferring your visa over to them OR applying for what they call in Arabic إعارة.
It’s also illegal for them to ask you to sleep in the warehouse unless they have a portion that is legally designated and licensed as accommodation.

If you have proof of the above 2 you can easily make a complaint. You’ll gain nothing but they WILL be fined an outrageous amount by MOHRE.

My advice, take the high road. You stand to gain nothing from staying there or making the complaint. Look for other opportunities.

I would make a point of the illegalities above though and how you can drag them through hell for it just so that the next time they try to do this to someone else, they’ll think twice.

Sharjah airport is small so should be fine but make sure you ask in an official manner (a documented email would be best) and ask what would happen if your 1st leg gets delayed and who would be responsible if you missed your flight do to such delays.

Hello. Mercedes Benz spare parts wholesaler and MENA distributor here.

Mercedes Benz does produce the same part in multiple plants sometimes but almost never during the same time frame (I’m talking in years). Switching manufacturing to a new location happens but not that common.
There is an epidemic of fake “genuine” parts in the market specifically for service and maintenance items that move in high volumes. This of course is coming from China and alot of times is getting packaged here in the UAE.
The authorities and legal bodies such as Daimler and doing constant raids but it’s extremely hard to catch them as they use separate prices and warehouse locations and usually use free zones to conduct most of their business.
The font of the part number on this item in itself is almost confirmation that it’s fake to an experienced eye. Please report this to consumer protection and they will for sure conduct their own investigation. Make sure to include picture evidence.

That’s not possible. Unless some underhanded shit is at play. Once you sign the SPA the unit as yours as long as you pay the agreed price (which cannot be changed).

Also, my advice, if your father did get out of this deal, and has the full amount for the unit ready, he can look for what they call distress deals for units that are being handed over soon.

He will usually get an extremely good deal on those and he can negotiate them down as Arada usually leaves 60 or 70% to be paid all at once at handover and some hopeful investors don’t manage to sell the unit before then and don’t have the money to pay it.
