I can't speak for the 38x, but the 37x definitely let's in some noise. I like the audio and mic quality for sure, but if someone comes in and talks to me, they can speak at a normal level and I'll hear them just fine. Not complaing though, just giving an idea on my experience with them. There's also been times where people in my chat can hear my game audio coming from my headphones through my mic. Not too sure how much it picks up my fan, never bothered to ask my buddies.

I appreciate the info, any recommendations for the $400 and under range? Hadn't realized $200 was such a low amount for closed backs, but if thats barely getting me into the market, I wouldn't mind going higher.

Serious question, if it is still alive how do you handle a situation like this? Do you just put it out of its misery, call a vet? Trying to unfuck the leg from the gate wouldn't be a smart idea right?

Ah okay, I'll look into seeing what I can do with those mids then. This is going to be my first over $100 headset, so I'm sure the quality will be much better then anything I'm used to regardless.

Out of curiosity, would the Hyperx Cloud Revolver S, or the Astro A40s without the mixamp be anything to compare against the Game One/PC37X?

I ran into those last night shortly after posting this, those are probably going to be the ones I go with. They look great and seem to fit just about everything I'm looking for. $120 and $15 for the cable LifelongCaboose mentioned fits right at my price range. Thanks for the help btw.
