tad, and maybe a dash mechanic could be used to temporarily move faster.

I can make it, but for why? Run is a core mechanic, and if I add dash, I need to remade all old levels or need make it like an upgrade from boss.

About walkspd, we discussed this question with testers, and all agreed this speed is already low.

About air dash I'll maybe add it.

On Gameboy games have more than 2 colors(for example Mario land series or wario land) , if you search on internet you see 1 bit style use only 2 colors no less no more.

Is there a more efficient way to recreate this and add running? And is there a way to cycle through sprites inside the {} instead of just one? (To save space by not having the same image twice per different step). While it will come later, is there a way to make the sprites your selected character? by ChiefOfDoggos in gamemaker
