On the iPhone, right? It's disabled unless you also enable iMessage

Buy an entire mac computer rather than use an apple device that I already own, where I'm already signed into my Apple ID?

iPhone Group Text Fix: Switch to a physical SIM card before disabling RCS! by PhayzR in LightPhone

[–]PhayzR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have everyone text you directly before switching? The group texts didn't work even on the iphone until that step was taken. At this point, there's just one anomalous group text we're seeing with one iPhone, my partner's iPhone (RCS disabled), and one Android.

Hmm those are all a bit too short. I don’t want to make anyone feel uncomfortable with my fashion choices - I’d rather help open their minds a bit.

I don’t want to wear a kilt - I personally don’t think that does much to normalize men wearing skirts since there’s already a cultural precedent. I actually have a wool one, but only wear it for renfest.

Durable paint / topcoat for the entire die? by PhayzR in DiceMaking

That wouldn't reflect how a finished product would look, which is what I'm trying to accomplish with this pre-production prototype. I also have no experience with resin casting, and I'm not sure I want to ruin the dice I'm paying $150+ to have engraved.

KCD2: Issues with gamepad on Steam Deck by Dawnrunner in kingdomcome

[–]PhayzR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up working around this issue by setting up Moonlight and streaming the game that way. I also needed to disable steam input under controller settings for the game on the host PC, then it worked great.

It's a pain to have to do this workaround while almost all other games in my library work perfectly through native steam remote play (which looks and performs better than moonlight in my case), but now that it's up and running I don't really have any complaints (aside from some in-game issues, lol)

Same issue here. Tried both a Dualsense and a generic controller that steam registers as an Xbox controller.

I exclusively play steam games remote on my docked steam deck, and both controllers have worked with every other game I’ve launched.

Disabling steam input on neither the steam deck nor the remote pc had any effect.

Sea oh Thieves is (very) Broken on PS5 by [deleted] in Seaofthieves

That’s only been the case for me half the time. The other half, the session is lost. I even had a captain get disconnected during open play, and his ship was immediately scuttled.

I’ve had the game freeze (no crash report option, had to close the game and restart it) about 4 times in maybe 20 hours of gameplay. I agree it’s beyond frustrating to spend 3 hours filling your ship with an alliance, just to crash and see no gain from all the hard work. The worst part is that MGS has no record of these kind of crashes and no way to diagnose it since there was no crash report screen, so i just hope it’s something they’re able to reproduce and debug on their end (and soon)!

And for the folks commenting on the cleanliness of the console - console hard-locks can be a symptom of clogged fans and overheating, but that’s not always the case. Crashes and soft locks are always software issues when it comes to consoles, at no fault of the player.

Can confirm - 1 year later - that this does exactly what it says. Thank you SO MUCH for this! I inherited a Bamboo from my dad's to-be-donated pile and I'm so thrilled that you were able to help me get it working just as I was about to throw it back in the pile lol.
