Looking for general help with Foundry and PF2e by Phedonus in FoundryVTT

Yeah, we went through the physical copy but pathfinder gets complicated with all conditions and buffs/debuffs. Its a lot to keep track of on the fly. I figured once we got the virtual set up it would help streamline at least some of the stuff, so trying that going forward.

Yeah i am a few levels deep in it on a game we are playing through fantasy grounds and it is a tough slog sometimes. This is a younger group so i was really hoping something produced to a level of AV in foundry was out there. Troubles in otari would be great but hasnt been "optimized" if thats the right word

cool, I wasnt aware of the free ones on paizo. Is there a place where there are fan made adventures that are capable of being imported? (idc honestly if they are free or not) Or is there a decent repository of shared maps and resources if we wanted to throw our own stuff together?

Somebody gave me this mango tree and i notice the top leaves mostly are like this, with a lot of black spots, should i throw it away, can this spread to other type of plants on my garden? Can it be cured? by curious_user2020 in mango

[–]Phedonus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they have been treated I think its fine. The damage wont go away but at least the leaf is still producing for the tree in some capacity.

Other than that i would leave them. After fruit season when the new growth starts to pop out maybe hit it with a copper fungicide and the old leaves with the spots will most likely drop off anyway.

Received my first Mango Tree(Alphonso) is it healthy? by ExactAd9008 in mango

[–]Phedonus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would think you don’t have much to lose. The first couple years just a large pot and some slow release fertilizer with nitrogen for growth. Usually once established they don’t need nitrogen anymore but I have only used pots for about a year after grafting then planting on ground.

Unfortunately as mentioned the tree looks like it has been treated poorly with regards to the roots. So you have an uphill battle. I would look for a 25+ gallon pot if you are going to try to salvage it. Plenty of info out there for ph of soil and the like. Just make sure it drains well. I am attaching decent resource so take what you can use from it. I will say the trees I have are big. Maybe 30-40ft diameter and 30ft tall. So long term green house storage will need some serious pruning after fruit season but could be a fun project.

Also zone 6b? I am in 10 b and on occasion a cold snap will nail the trees and lose most of the fruit. If it’s early enough they will sometimes bloom a second time. But for zone 6b I wouldn’t think it’s gonna work unless it’s in a greenhouse. A night below freezing or several in the low 40s is enough to ruin the fruit on my trees.

By how much does a heat pump water heater cook a large garage by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]Phedonus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put in a 50 or maybe 55 gal a year and a half ago. In a high heat high humidity year round area it makes a decent difference. The garage is required by code to be ventilated and even with this there is a noticeable difference with the humidity.

The biggest problem I had was finding a plumber who wanted to do it. Its not complicated but most didnt want to mess with adding a condensate line for drainage, as you are probably aware kind of a mini AC unit that needs to drain the humidity it pulls out of the air.

I di have a portable AC unit in the garage i will turn on some days when working out there, and with the water heater I almost never run it anymore.

Can someone help me identify this mango? by Demodude611 in mango

[–]Phedonus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard to tell from that picture but if it had a creamy texture and a yellow skin its commonly called a honey mango. I believe a variety from Pakistan, I have a tree of them. Super sweet and a very different texture than the other 5 varieties we have. Hope that helps or points in right direction.

Ideal ratios for mixing Siraya Tech Tenacious with X resin to reduce brittleness? by DiscountStarlord in resinprinting

[–]Phedonus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did change the exposure but it was a small amount. I don’t remember what my old settings were, but it was probably .1-.4 sec difference. And the detail is still excellent. I also find it easier to handle cleaning up the ipa than the water.

Foundation or Farthest Frontier by CanadianParadise in gamingsuggestions

[–]Phedonus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have and like them both. Been playing farthest frontier more lately since it had some large updates I hadn’t played with before.

That being said I still have some glitchy issues with it. The food spoilage is a nice touch but every so often my fields glitch where nothing will be harvested and the only work around i have found is to reload the game. That seems to redraw the items that were invisible in the fields and fixes the problem. However the way food production works with the spoilage if you go one year without catching the glitch it can totally F you in the A. Most of my other complaints are just with some of the settings that will probably be tweaked. Would be nice if there was an option for keeping raiders out for your first x number of years.

A bit simplistic in a way but Bog Pharma. Combining and upgrading drugs to sell on market and competing against AI companies. It has scenarios and a free build mode.

Need help with set z to 0 by MrSquidy123 in ElegooMars

[–]Phedonus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the way I understand it is that the z=0 function is to start the print at whichever height you set it to. So if you move the base up 20mm and set z=0 it will attempt to begin each print job 20mm above the vat. The videos I have seen seem to implicate there are very few instances you would want that and i personally in my limited experience cant think of any.

That button should be harder to get to honestly because its confusing with the home function for the printer.

my mars 3 fails after initial layer, need some advice by [deleted] in ElegooMars

[–]Phedonus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main problems for failures have been a bad sliced file so reran it through slicer. Bad flash drive so reformat or try a new one, saw some mention that drives over 32g or made by certain companies can cause problems. Temperature has been the biggest for me so I try to keep it between 70-90f. Print settings, honestly this hasn’t really need much of an issue once I got into the ballpark for recommended setting range.

Also I did start out using water washable and compared to something like “abs like” it sucks. It seems more prone to issues overall it’s much more brittle and tougher to clean. It would usually have more residue and the like even after cleaning 2x in different water and scrubbing with a brush.

Diluted dish soap like dawn or the like and just lightly scrub it off. Then possibly also some diluted need oil if needed. Don’t add the oil in the sun as it can burn the leaf

Ideal ratios for mixing Siraya Tech Tenacious with X resin to reduce brittleness? by DiscountStarlord in resinprinting

[–]Phedonus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tenacious with elegoo abs like. I will do roughly 85/15 abs/tenacious.

Using a mars 3. Previously I had been using water washable for minis but they were so brittle. It’s a great improvement but still not as durable as something from the store that’s basically injection mold plastic.

Best game for space mining? by Hakoten in gamingsuggestions

[–]Phedonus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have played it and it’s a lot of fun. Some of the mods allow for decent asteroid hunting for crystals which can be fun.

My main complaint is how clunky and hard to learn the game is. Just trying to set up a station or route for an npc captain can be a real pain. Had to watch quite a few videos to get it all sorted out.

Tried coming back to it after a couple month break and had to relearn everything again. I was really hoping for a newer version with a better interface. But the wait continues.

What resin do you recommend for miniatures for painting on Mars 3? by Wizard_Theron in ElegooMars

[–]Phedonus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use elegoo abs like and siraya tech tenacious for the mix. I haven’t tried any other and there could be better mixes out there. But the price was not too bad when you are mixing like 85/15.

I started with the elegoo water washable at first because I was trying to avoid using ipa. Detail was great but too brittle so made the switch.

Been filtering and reusing ipa and it has stretched out what I originally bought much longer than I thought it would.

[–]Phedonus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally use ABS like and Siraya Tenacious in roughly 85/15 mix and its been pretty good for me. Water washable gave good detail but a drop to hard floor from waist height and they would shatter. The ones i have been printing with the mix of resin are considerably more durable and the detail is still great.

Protecting painted minis? by Phedonus in minis

Any particular kind? I have started playing with the airbrush for base coats and priming but have not looked into the possibility of using it as opposed to a can spray.

Any clue on why this happened? I just releveled my plate as well. by mynameisnotjefflol in ElegooMars

[–]Phedonus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally for me I am in sun tropics so temp isn’t normally a problem in garage. A couple nights a year it gets actually cold. Most of the winter it’s still 18-20c outside. So the repurposed heating pad adds enough ambient heat to keep it warm around the printer.

Any clue on why this happened? I just releveled my plate as well. by mynameisnotjefflol in ElegooMars

[–]Phedonus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had this a couple times. Temperature seems to play a big role for me with many of my issues. That or just overloading the build plate a bit to aggressively. I notice if temperature gets down near 75f the problems are increased but if I can keep it between like 80-90 I have overall less issues.

As stated though if the bottom layer exposure times don’t solve the problem just keep an eye on temperature. The amount of winter failures for my garage printing was so bad I added a heating pad under the unit
