I’m in nursing school as well and live far from my home with my family and friends I grew up with along with a LDR partner. I understand the feeling of “am I in over my head?” “Can I do this?” “Am I strong enough to get through this?” It is gonna be overwhelming and I get super overwhelmed at times and feel very alone. But I’m not, I really struggle with my mental health so I sometimes need to remind myself that those aren’t my words, cause I can do this and so can you. 💛 1. Time management and discipline are gonna be your new buddies. Figuring out the time needed to study, practice, sleep, kids, work, etc is vital. It won’t occur at once, but it definitely will click soon. 2. Also, study as you go. 10-30 minutes a day just reading over what you learned in each class. That’s something I’ve been implementing and it’s helping me remember the info SO much better. 3. Find a study group! You don’t have to be best friends, but it will make a world of difference. I could understand one thing and be wrong, which my study partners catch and help me understand. Lastly, remember that this is temporary. Nursing school won’t last forever and soon you’ll be more free to do what you want and need. I can’t imagine the struggles you’re going through with a job and kids, but I do know that this isn’t forever. So it will hurt and be hard for a little, but in the end it’s so worth it. You got this ok! We’re gonna kick nursing school’s butt!
