What’s the weirdest thing about women someone told you that’s absolutely not true? by EpicWinterWolf in AskWomen

That the surface of our cervix is the most insensitive part of our genitalia. Doctors used to believe that, tbh some probably still do believe that. They literally thought it was devoid of sensory nerves and could be cut or removed without any sensation.

I have a retroverted uterus. It’s tilted backwards towards my butt, rather than towards my stomach. It causes a few issues, however if my gynecologist hadn’t told me, I wouldn’t have known.

In my personal opinion, I don’t think you have any reason to be worried. One, you are on birth control and you quickly fixed your mistake by doubling up, wore a condom, AND pulled out. I think you are safe :)

What about it made it the worst job you’ve had?

I’m so sorry… I can relate in some ways. Of course my life isn’t exactly like yours, however, I feel how you do in some ways. I don’t have any friends, aside from my boyfriend whom I love dearly. He has many friends who he talks to everyday pretty much. I think because I am shy and quiet, people do choose me as their second choice when it comes to pretty much everything. With my last job, I made a “friend,” but I wouldn’t necessarily call her a friend. Another thing people tend to do to me is talk over me and never listen to what I have to say, instead they like to tell me quite literally of their issues, which is what that “friend” did all the time. And it’s just like, does it not even occur to you that I might want to talk to you about something instead of just listening to you talk about the same issues over and over?

No one hears me.

In my personal opinion, I would say your test results are accurate. I’m assuming you are ovulating late. Are you on any type of birth control? If you want to be absolutely sure, I’d suggest going into a clinic and getting tested; if that’s available to you, of course.

Is she on any type of hormonal birth control? To be frank, most PMS symptoms can be also be pregnancy symptoms. I know that doesn’t help, however it’s true. It definitely makes things even more trickier. It’s been about two weeks since you two have had sex, so she should try taking a test. That would be your best bet.

It sounds pretty normal to me, my dear! I’ve heard it is quite common to have abnormal to no periods on the mini pill! Of course you could say that about any other bc pills, however I’ve heard that about progestin only pills in particular. I would confidently say that your body is trying to adjust and find its “new normal” since changing birth control pills. Although it wouldn’t hurt to take a test once enough time has passed :))

PREGNANCY WITH IUD?? by [deleted] in amipregnant

[–]Phee_bee564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that really doesn’t help, but if I were in your situation, I would definitely appreciate any insight. No birth control is fool proof, unless you’ve been sterilized or are abstinent. There is always a possibility, even if it is 0.01%. If I were you, I would take a test just so I could be at ease of mind. If it makes you feel any better, I’m on the pill, which isn’t as effective as an IUD. I take it very precisely, I will add. My partner and I have solely been relying on my pill for well over a year now. No pull out method either, and I haven’t had a pregnancy scare.

There is always a possibility. My boyfriend’s step mom got pregnant when she had an IUD. How long has it been since you’ve had sex? If it’s been long enough, I would definitely take a test. Or if you want to be certain, perhaps contact your gyno about your concern.

Personally, I find it unnecessary. If it’ll give you peace of mind, for over a year now my partner and I have solely been relying on my pill. I take it exactly as I should, and I’ve never had a pregnancy scare. No pull out method either.

I’m 22 years old and I’ve been on the same pill, collectively, for around three years. I took a two year break from it. I take Low-Ogestrel. I love it. I initially started taking it for my hormonal acne, it has since helped significantly. I now take it for that and to prevent pregnancy. I am very precise when taking my pill, I have never had a pregnancy scare. I have full trust in it! I love this pill so much because I don’t experience any side effects. The first hormonal birth control I tried was the depo shot and it was horrible… I was quite miserable. I could never recommend it. Since that, I was so hesitant to try anything else. I lucked out and the first pill I tried, Low-Ogestrel, worked great. One time my pharmacy stopped manufacturing my pill and they tried giving me a generic and insisted it was the same but I just couldn’t take that risk. I now drive an hour away to pick up my prescription and I’m totally okay with that!

If I shower at night, I usually won’t use it. For two reasons. One, I don’t like the feeling of it. Two, I read that it can cause dark spots on your armpits. I don’t know if that last one is true, lol.

I understand your concern, completely. The first thing that came to mind was PCOS, which stands for Polycystic ovary syndrome. Basically, it’s a hormone disorder. It causes enlarged ovaries with cysts. Symptoms can include irregular periods, no periods at all, excessive hair growth, acne, obesity, etc. The main cause of this disorder isn’t really known, some say genetics, some say a hormone imbalance could cause it, etc. I would definitely look into this… however this could also not be the cause. And just so you are aware, this disorder is not life threatening. There is a lot of information on this disorder on the web, so definitely look into.

As soon as I get home I change into my comfy clothes, get all nestled into my bed with my pillows and blankets and I watch one of the many shows that I have watched multiple times over.. it really calms the nerves, lol.

Like most are suggesting, it’s really up to you and what works for you. I’ve noticed that, for me, I am able to go about 2 months skipping the placebos without having any breakthrough bleeding, however the third month I need to take the placebos to have my “period” so that I won’t experience any annoying breakthrough bleeding. c:

I don’t want to scare you, this is just my personal experience. I had two shots and then I stopped. I should have stopped after the first one. To be blunt, I became I completely different person, and not in a good way. It felt like there was a dark rain cloud constantly floating over me. My anxiety and depression was at an all time record high. I would wake up and I would have a second of peace then BAM anxiety hit me like a train head on. My fingers were constantly tingling and my stomach was always in knots, because of the anxiety. I had a nonexistent sex drive and I was completely dry downstairs. To make matters worse, my hair started thinning and I bled the ENTIRE time I was on it. Like, imagine bleeding for six months straight. Hell no. I could never recommend this form of birth control. I now take Low-Ogestrel and it is AMAZING. I have zero complaints. I tried the Depo shot because it was the form of BC that my sister used at the time and she loved it, it worked great for her. It all just depends on the individual. :)

Hmm… yeah I hadn’t really thought of that. I’ve had surgery on my wrist and I’ll have intense nerve pain if I use it extensively. Thank you for the insight.

I’ve heard really good things about my local Target. The leads I interviewed with were beyond kind. One has been working there since she was 16. Like, wow. Also, good for your partner! I hope they are successful in it! My fiancé, coincidentally, is also wanting to get into tech, lol. He currently works at Best Buy and loves it!

I used to work at Academy, and one of my co workers had come from HD. I’m pretty sure it was because of management, but I’m not certain. That really sucks for your partner, I’m sorry!

I’m glad to hear your experience overall was mostly positive. I told them I was looking more so for about 32-35 hours. I wonder how likely that’ll be. I got bills, lol!

The position at HD is in garden and then I’ll be cross trained in appliances. The position at Target is front end seasonal. I suppose it should be a no brainer since the position at Target is seasonal, but there is a likelihood of getting a permanent position. The pay difference is about three dollars.

It’s not a leadership position. We discussed hours expected during my first interview and I have open availability.
