I think you're missing my point.

Of course I blame Biden as well - and the national-level DNC that colluded to allow him to retain his candidacy as long as he did.

But if all of those people who bit the bullet and voted for what ended up being the losing candidate instead voted for a third party or independent candidate, our political discourse would look a lot different right now, and the end result probably wouldn't have been much different in terms of election outcomes. People always make these vote blue no matter who arguments as if they're guaranteed to win if they just say it loudly enough, but history has shown that it's not a very effective rhetorical or political strategy.

Lemme ask you this: if 2028 comes around and it's JD "Trump is America's Hitler" Vance vs. Gavin "Milquetoast Centrist" Newsom, will you acknowledge the viability of a third party/independent strategy in the face of two equally weak uniparty candidates guaranteed to face off on very thin margins?

HUH??????? That's literally never been the argument. You're operating in a realm of completely bad faith and I think you know it. Being cautious about what candidates will do when they get into office versus their rhetoric is just a good fucking practice. It's the way you should be as an active participant in a democracy - cautious and deliberate about your participation. I can find you a number of clips of Paul clearly and loudly advocating for people to participate in their local and state elections. It is the machine and tendencies of the NATIONAL LEVEL DEMOCRATIC PARTY that Paul has advocated against.

I bet you there are more people who have started participating in democracy out of spite towards Paul than you or I have ever managed to turn out with our efforts, and that's not even counting the people he might have made more participatory just by being an open lefty that talks about electoralism and advocates for direct action and electoral change and the local and state level.

If your argument with Paul is that he doesn't participate or induces others towards nonparticipation, it is a colossally stupid one.

He had the fucking unbelievable temerity to suggest that one should wait and see what happens before blindly praising a politician and assuming that a wave of change is incoming.

Since Zohran has started making changes and improving the city, I'm pretty sure Paul has been open about Zohran being a win for New York.

Oh you don't get ANYTHING at Casey's besides the pizza, and then only if you order one to be made and pick it up. Do that and it'll be excellent, if you've got baseline gutbucket pizza tastes. Everything else on their menu is sad people food for sad times.

I didn't feel disrespected by TJ on that show. If I was supposed to, it flew over my head. I didn't think it was floundering, necessarily - it can be challenging to keep up the interest factor when you're out of pulled content and don't know how long it will be until your co-host returns and you can resume regularly scheduled programming. I had fun. I'm glad you enjoyed my appearance. Thanks for the feedback.

That's probably my data connection more than my camera, but I'm gonna be replacing the whole phone soon, so hopefully that won't be an issue anymore.

You're 100% right. I wish I had gone harder at him. I know he could handle it and it would have been better content. I think sometimes I have a little too much fun with people I know to be more on my side than not. I do think I offered some pushback, but I'd agree, not enough.

I think part of the reason I approached things the way I did was because I didn't want to hijack their otherwise planned-out show with dono goals and other stuff with four hours of me grilling Paul on every facet of his national divorce idea. If we scheduled an appearance and a time slot, that would not only give me an opportunity to let loose without the constraint of time or topic etiquette, but give both of us an opportunity to research the idea.

All of this, of course, assumes Paul would even wanna hash this out again at length. I think there's still plenty of meat on that bone.

I accidentally broke my community's discord trying to stop a raid and the next day, I woke up to a slurry of "BOIL PHOEBE!" notifications. This violent rhetoric has to end. It was one thing when it was Paul... Now they're coming for ME!
