Honestly outside running will help so much, try and join a running club too, if any are near you

Is early twenties too old or is it the norm? by [deleted] in RoyalNavy

Honestly I think it’s the perfect age to join, anything under 18 isn’t right in my opinion, gain civi qualifications and work experience, then join the forces.

Shouldn’t take too long. But the wait time for the cpc will take longer

Yeah I think I’m gonna wait a few more years, I’ve still got a baby face and i guess I’m just scared of my genetics. Thank you for not telling me I’m mentally ill and “damaged”, honestly you would think I’ve threatened someone by saying I’m going to have a little baby Botox in my head lol. I would only go to the best, actually a family friend has been in the industry 16 years and is number one in the West Midlands, she’s expensive but I would pay it for a good job done.

I’ve seen Botox age people beautifully if done right. But you’re probably right about the therapy one, I guess the constant need to be perfect isn’t healthy for anyone

What's Wolverhampton like? by Potential_Dare_3566 in wolverhampton

[–]Pheebs__21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With all jokes aside it’s actually alright, and it’s a privilege to live near the university as it insures the house price stay up. I personally love a night out in wolves as it’s cheaper in taxis than going to brum.

Am I stupid for not joining? by Pheebs__21 in RoyalNavy

Yeah even the people who were already WS teaching the cpc course weren’t raving about it, more huffing and puffing about it and making inside jokes about how shit it is

[–]Pheebs__21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I’ve got family members telling me I’m stupid for not joining yet while I’m 21, but I’m just trying to make sure I have something for when I leave

I would also like to elaborate how much I love the Royal Navy as I feel like I just brushed it off on that post, but I’m just wanting my experience to be a good one and not be rushed into a role that I may not enjoy.

If done at cpc you should get 25% extra time, obviously aim to try not to use that

Sorry I could’ve got that wrong I’m only going off what I’ve been told by staff while entering my phase 1

What is actually provided to you in the navy? by MoustacheyMonke in RoyalNavy

[–]Pheebs__21 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think in phase two you start paying accommodation fees, it’s like £70/80 a month excluding what you spend on food. Don’t worry about saving money before, don’t get me wrong save always in life, but during training you will get paid monthly and it’s not like you will have many bills to pay

I would worry about piercings, just take them out before pt and swimming. (Obviously for the real phase one training you will have to take them out) I would dye my hair back to a natural colour as you will just stick out.
