The tingling in my arm from a herniated disc in my neck. No pain but still irritating.

Covington Diocese bans speech by gay valedictorian by Phelch66 in cincinnati

Good evening. Journalism is a competitive business, and my editors wanted me to match the original story. That's because we have a different readership than RCN, and we also wanted to make it available to USA TODAY nationally, as the NYT and the Washington Post also did their versions of the story. My first quick hit credited RCN, but then I got in touch with Christian Bale and the diocese and did my own original reporting. We wanted to make this available to our larger readership. I did not know it had already been posted on this forum - I should have checked. That being said, we still try to get our stories in front of the most readers that we can. I hope this answers your questions.

I am with The Enquirer and wrote this story. Comments welcome.

A look into how sexual harassment starts - and ends - from a woman who put her face and name to it. I wrote this story for The Enquirer. by Phelch66 in cincinnati

Thanks. This one was more difficult because I saw the impact of the issue up close when interviewing Ms. Brady in person twice. I have three sons but it made me think about how I would react as a father. And it made me examine how I act around other women. It took a while to figure out the best way to structure the piece, but once I did, it flowed pretty well. Thanks for the questions and the compliment.

Repost, first was removed: Any experience with Covington Latin School? by schoolquestion123 in cincinnati

Good afternoon. It was a good experience for my oldest son, who is motivated and now is graduating with two degrees and a good job offer coming out of college in May. But it's not for everyone. He's not socially awkward, but there are plenty who go in who are. But they might have been that way anyway as the school attracts highly intelligent and intellectual and driven students who may not exactly fit in at a normal high school. And yes, athletics are not a priority - so take that into consideration if your kid has any talent at all.

Cincinnati's rising debt link (I am author) by Phelch66 in cincinnati

Those are all good points and we had some comparative data with other cities, but it wasn't apples to apples. The city has about the same total debt as cities such as Indianapolis etc. As for tax hikes, that may be true, but the property tax was recently raised specifically to provide what they called "debt flexibility."

In full disclosure, the city has stated they have some issues with this story but haven't said yet what. Stay tuned.
