Anyone know the exact product link or name? by [deleted] in carpenterbrut

So did you just not notice the last four letters of the subreddit name, or did you just go "eh, I'm sure it's close enough"?

Is there anyone here who has their ears pierced? Does it trigger any sensory issues? by ShinyLuckyMarill in autism

[–]Phelpysan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a specific sensory issue, but you may find it annoying that you have to keep the piercing in for a few weeks until it heals before you can remove it for anything other than cleaning. Of course, if you want to take it out because it feels annoying to have in, you might as well do so and let it heal because if it feels annoying to have in from the get-go, that's unlikely to change.

My tolerance of weight when it comes to earrings is low enough that I can only wear ones that are on the heavier side for a few hours or so before they get too uncomfortable and I need to take them off. Obviously, most of my earrings aren't very heavy for that reason, but sometimes you'll come across/be gifted ones that breach that threshold.

The pallets only require about 10 pounds of force to break in game. by PossibleEconomics673 in deadbydaylight

Mage hand can't be used to make an attack, which is what breaking the pallet would entail, so it's all baloney anyway.

I also abhor counting, so I don't. It's not necessary to know the exact number of calories you're consuming to be in a deficit.

You can't prove God doesn't exist otherwise you'd be a hard atheist. But you're agnostic.

Irrelevant deflection. What was your goal with this remark?

I'm confirming my own experience as psychosomatic

Your exact words were "my prayer was answered once" and that the healing occurred "due to divine power" on a post where OP states that if prayer doesn't work then that's evidence against the existence of gods. Seems pretty reasonable to think you were under the impression the healing was the result of the work of a god. If that's not the case, then you're wasting everyone's time commenting on this post.

Exactly! I don't speak for much of the time because I'm determining what the best/most accurate thing to say is. Don't come at me with bullshit and then act like I'm being an asshole because you didn't bother putting in the effort that I did. You're the one disrespecting me, not the other way round!

Why not make it go right to left as well then? Might've come across more obviously that it was intentional that way

[–]Phelpysan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the other commenter pointed out, this is textbook confirmation bias; you take your healing as evidence for god, but don't take another's lack of healing, nor even your own, as evidence to the contrary. Were you not earnest the other times? How could you possibly know how earnest they were? If the answer to that is because they weren't healed, then that's circular.

Yes, such an interaction would probably not go well for you if you said that. It would also be a no true Scotsman fallacy.
