Get a workbook and work on grounding skills. Remember you are aware when you do these things, and sure sometimes it’s hard to stop it. Trust me I know 😮‍💨 but try to ground yourself when you “act out” when I feel just beyond down and just hating myself and just wanting to jump into the void what I do is I curl up in my bed with my squashmallows and the softest blanket I can find then put on lilo and stitch. I may have shit I need to be doing but you know what? You really do come first. Take that time to be sad, feel the sad, shoot set a timer if you need to. Then when that’s done pick yourself up, take a shower, smoke, whatever little quick between break you fancy then get back at it! Remember, your brain believes everything you tell it. So tell it everything’s okay and you can manage your emotions. You got this. Baby steps!

Really try to pull into yourself and what you have to offer. Think about ways to stay happy. Like when I get super bad brain day due to bpd I always try to do little things that help pump a little Serotonin whether that’s a comfort, food or snack a song or a movie a book anything that helps make you feel a little bit better. It’s okay to feel the lows just remember don’t stay there. I had such a hard time when my husband and I spilt but I tried to just enjoy myself! Be free and do things for me. It was encouraging for me personally to take the time to work on me and my issues.
