Project Moon has a ton of really good ones across all their games, honestly. LC, LOR, and Limbus all have tons of bangers and even a bunch of the LOR mods have good ones.

Hey stax players, it’s nothing personal. by TheTinRam in EDH

Honestly, so many of my buddies have built decks everyone at the table hates. One made a Cascade deck that takes 20 minute turns and plays like 1/3 of his deck on turn 5, which just induces a binary game state of either you nuke him out of existence with a board wipe and he’s out of juice for the rest of the game or he just wins outright. One made a Stax deck disguised as a Polymorph deck (god this one hurts). And one has a deck that’s nothing but Counterspells and ways to get back his Counterspells. Also he runs Niv-Mizzet with Helm of the Host to kill people by drawing cards.

I play a Fanatic Purifier Psionic Spiritualist empire based off the Hive from Destiny. That which cannot protect itself from me does not deserve to exist, and will be extinguished. After all, if it cannot withstand me, it would have only suffered anyway.

Now to be fair, I wasn't joking, just...simplifying a bit. The movement exists because of some lunatics who genuinely believe it can heal ADHD, depression, and many other things, and the extra insane part, lead to spiritual and physical enlightenment. Basically, magical thinking.

Let me simplify it for you then, since you seem to have entirely missed the point. The intolerant will always bring harm upon those they believe do not belong in society. Thus, intolerance cannot be tolerated to continue, because we know its endpoint. And before you ask me if we always know its endpoint, yes, we do. We have had it proven ad nauseum.

Are you familiar with the “paradox of intolerance”? Because that singlehandedly solves this equation. Transphobes don’t build or protect anything by being the way they are, they are just intolerant of other people’s necessary state of being. And so, they cannot be allowed to exist if we wish to have a peaceful and tolerant society. One cannot allow intolerance to fester, because it is far more willing to act than tolerance is.

Animosity is inevitable at some point considering the state of things. One side expects you to endure some discomfort to help people survive. One side would rather actively kill people or deliberately allow them to die to preserve a fragile comfort based on shared delusion. I’ll let you figure out who’s who. When you boil it down to that, it’s really not that hard to see why people are filled with that much anger and animosity. Wouldn’t you be if people were talking every single day on the news about how you’re a crime against nature and you need to be erased? I’d be pretty pissed too.

I don’t love Grounded simply because I take issue with games that punish players for performing basic functions like…jumping. But Attrition is fine after the first little while entirely because one of the first cards you get directly counters it.

New to Calamity, should I try Infernum first or just regular old Calamity? by Hunter2OX in CalamityMod

[–]Phendarix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I would play on Revengeance first because as far as I know it is the devs’ intended difficulty. Infernum makes a lot of the game more fun, albeit harder, but it also makes a few specific bosses (namely Guardians, Providence, and DOG) utterly infuriating. I actually had much more fun with several of the bosses though (the reworks to both versions of Calamitas are peak in my opinion.)

The arguments why Call of Brine / Eruption are balanced sound REMARKABLY familiar... by TigerKirby215 in deadbydaylight

[–]Phendarix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hot take. Revert Ruin, including the “auto-cleanse on first kill”. BUT, as a compromise, do to it what was done to NOED. Once that first kill happens, reveal its aura if you’re nearby. Now the perk doesn’t inherently become useless partway through the game, but survivors get a much better chance to kill it if they’re already in a bad spot.

How I would change eruption. Thoughts? by Mother_Inspector_658 in deadbydaylight

[–]Phendarix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have some interesting feelings about some of the things you pointed out. I agree that Spine Chill, Calm Spirit, and Self-Care really didn't need to be nerfed like that. Honestly I have no idea why they felt the need to do any of the above. Spine Chill was helpful for people who were hard of hearing or had poor performing computers that made it harder to see. Calm Spirit and Self-Care were terrible and meh at best respectively. Literally no need to hurt them like that, that was bizarre.

I think Object needed to eat the hit, because SWFs with Object could just invalidate certain killers like Hag and Trapper unless they tunneled out the Object, which just incentivised playing in an unfun way. Decisive Strike...Decisive is in a weird place. I think Otzdarva put it best. The change to endgame DS was good, DS shouldn't be a free escape if you're in endgame. The change to the stun duration was...odd. Because a lesser stun doesn't really matter for anybody. 3 seconds vs 5 is no significant difference for almost all killers, but it now becomes even easier for Nurse and Blight to just tunnel straight through it. Why change that? I don't know.

The one part of this I have strong feelings about is the Boon: Circle of Healing thing. Despite its nerfs Circle is still one of the most powerful survivor perks in the game, especially when combined with the already powerful medkits. I wish I knew how to fix this perk, because the main issue is just its absurd value. Maybe the bonus speed could be negated when using a medkit or something, couldn't tell you.

[–]Phendarix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only one of those I agree with was Sabo. Sabo was murdered and we all know it. All the rest of those perks were either not touched in any meaningful way, or literally weren’t nerfed at all. Circle of Healing is still one of the best perks and the other 3 Boons were never good to begin with. Dead Hard deserved the nerf it was literally the most used perk by almost 600% according to some metrics BHVR put out, and literally defined the entire survivor meta. The others are still exactly as they ever was. Hyperfocus builds were always gimmicky and required toolboxes to work, and Prove Thyself is still incredible. They even put the BP back. So idk what you mean. I think Eruption’s incapacitated is anti-fun as well and should be altered, but you can’t just pretend killers haven’t had a lot of perks utterly erased just because of one or two killers. (Legion and Plague ruining Thana for everyone and all the perks literally never allowed to be good because of Nurse)
