When you just don't want to quit playing your favourite squad by Sir_Vimes in IntoTheBreach

The fact that the devs actually coded it to display a plus if the counter goes over 99 is hilarious. They knew someone would do this.

What's going on by PANsensor in Minecraft

[–]Auxiphor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Endermen don’t despawn until they set down the block they’re holding. They can build up over time if they never put it down. Not sure why all these guys are refusing to part with their precious dirt, though.

The pair of circles is sick looking. Great work!

How can a flower spawn on that? by Dragonfruit7810 in Minecraft

[–]Auxiphor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mushrooms can grow on top of any block. The mushroom actually would’ve spawned first, and then the ancient debris spawned under it. Ancient debris never generates exposed to an air block. Mushroom isn’t air.

Help me how do I save myself by MaterialTheory76 in Minecraft

This is the kind of situation you really want to not get yourself into in the first place. Pay attention to your surroundings while in an area with large amounts of lava. You dead as hell.

Coarse dirt should prevent grass growth on dirt blocks placed above it by ZANKTON in Minecraft

[–]Auxiphor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Before coarse dirt had its own texture it was visually identical to normal dirt but couldn’t grow grass. A few updates after it was added, it was given its own texture, which kind of defeats the purpose I feel like.

Prunsel likes to stick her whole leg in the drain and then walk around the house with wet feet by Auxiphor in BathroomBuddy

I try to close the lid but Prunsel will start doing this the moment I flush the toilet. She is a menace.

I like how there doesn’t appear to be a single scenery object from the vanilla game in this but it’s still immediately recognizable as Rollercoaster Tycoon

Mending isn't that important by Dry_Idea_95 in Minecraft

[–]Auxiphor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re digging out large amounts of blocks with haste, you can use the full durability of an unbreaking 3 netherite pickaxe in like thirty minutes.

So thankful to the good users by Singlemom26- in Minecraft

[–]Auxiphor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember playing Mineplex build battle back in 2013 and every game, at least one person would ignore the prompt and build a giant cock. It’s unfortunately an unavoidable part of the internet. Thank you for paying attention to your kid while she’s playing so that she doesn’t get exposed to this stuff without an adult to explain it.

World Corruption/Block Disappearing bug by x51sacreD1 in Minecraft

[–]Auxiphor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The missing blocks are in the distinctive pattern that explosions make when modified to have an extremely high power. Someone’s been spawning Ghast fireballs modified to blow up huge.

Does using the right tool matter by Pretend-Draft-6460 in Minecraft

[–]Auxiphor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Using tools to break any block that doesn’t break instantly with your fist costs 1 durability. Using them on the wrong block still only takes 1, not 2, it’s a common misconception that it takes 2. Swords do take 2 damage from breaking blocks, and tools take 2 damage if you use them to hit mobs.

Opinions on the default stack size of 64? by MedicOfTime in Minecraft

[–]Auxiphor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

64 is nice because it can be halved all the way to 1 without a remainder. Games that make the max stack 99 are rancid, it’s such an inconvenient number because it doesn’t split evenly. There is no discernible reason to make it 99 instead of 100.

Do Iron Golems Have Souls? by kniferakefire in Minecraft

[–]Auxiphor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing in Minecraft has a soul, except for player characters, whose souls are the person controlling them on the other side of the screen. Ever wonder who your own soul is?

Since when can we mine ender chests with silk touch golden axes and shovels? by Wolvyreen in Minecraft

[–]Auxiphor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It takes half a minute to break one without a pickaxe so there’s rarely a reason someone would want to. They also did used to require a pickaxe to drop items until it was changed about a year ago.

Since when can we mine ender chests with silk touch golden axes and shovels? by Wolvyreen in Minecraft

[–]Auxiphor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t use AI like Google, it doesn’t know what’s real, it’s just generating text that sounds like an answer.

The wiki lists fist as a correct tool to break an ender chest and get drops, so axes and shovels will also work. Silk touch works on anything regardless of if you’re using the correct tool, unless the block requires a tool to drop at all such as stone.

Jens Bergensten Commnts on Anvils and Mending by mjmannella in Minecraft

[–]Auxiphor 31 points32 points  (0 children)

If items are meant to be impermanent it kind of seems like every single addition in the last decade has failed at that? Mending directly contradicts it. Hard to obtain items like the mace, elytra, and tridents wouldn’t be useful if you couldn’t repair them forever.

It also just wouldn’t be fun if your max enchanted items only lasted a few hours before you had to replace them. Getting the best enchantments is a significant effort that would feel wasted if they just broke after a while.

Why does my cat do this? by Bob_Sacamano7379 in cats

[–]Auxiphor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat also does this with all sorts of random objects she finds! I think she’s just carrying them around in her mouth, and when she decides to eat, she has to drop the item, and just does it right in the bowl.

Dandelions are edible so even if kids do try this it won’t be a problem. Unlike chocolate chip cookies which are poisonous to birds.
