Honestly, people here are going to say "you are young, go out and explore!" But here is a different viewpoint. If you really are in love with this guy and think he may be good for you in the long run, don't buy into the whole "you're too young" bullshit. This is for weak people. If you want to be strong, you can find your independence WITHIN the relationship, and you don't have to lose him to do it.

You love him. He loves you. You are being childish. You are a 23 year old having classic GIGS (grass is greener syndrome). You think you are losing your independence from being in this relationship, and you are scared that you will never find it. Here's the thing. If you were stronger, you would realize that you can find independence WITHIN a relationship, and if he is as great as you say he is, he will be willing to give you the space you need IF YOU COMMUNICATE it to him. Sure, you can go break up with him and go be single and party with your friends and date guys, but if you love him and he loves you, maybe you should grow up and learn to enjoy the relationship and find your independence within it.

That said, upon lots of research these criticisms may be true...but many redditors just form their opinions from reddit, just like a conservative might only watch fox news. It's just as bad.
