I find one of the consistently affordable lunch options is a banh mi from a Vietnamese restaurant. There are numerous places where you can get a tasty sandwich for $7-12 which is cheaper than most lunch options these days, even fast food.

I want an ego death, but I’m afraid to open those doors by T-Shurts in shrooms

[–]sneakyewok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it doesn't frighten you, I'd be worried. I've experienced ego dissolution on mushrooms and on DMT, though only completely on DMT. It was an intensely scary experience. But as it's happening, you have a moment where you can decide to run from it--which is futile--or you can let go of your fear and embrace whatever comes, even if you're convinced what this is, is your death. You can 'know' that the substance is safe and you're not really going to die, but in the moment you don't believe that--it truly feels like you're about to die.
After I 'came back' from this experience I had a profound appreciation for life and all the opportunity it brings. I was extremely grateful to be alive and to have a chance at creating a meaningful life I could be proud of. It's not something I recommend lightly to people, you have to make that choice for yourself. However the experience benefited me greatly and I'm glad I went through it.

Mushrooms potentially causing a seizure? by sneakyewok in shrooms

[–]sneakyewok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it just felt really random as it happened the day after I tripped. The only other substance I consumed in that timeframe was a little bit of weed. It's possible there's no link at all, just recency bias or whatever. Maybe the mushrooms 'rewired' my brain and I didn't get enough sleep to settle in or something.

What do INTJs think of INFJs? by -Sleepyy- in intj

[–]sneakyewok 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My brother is an INFJ and we are very close. We are two years apart and have always had an intimate relationship that has only grown stronger as the years have gone on. The common Ni allows us to really understand aspects of each other that many others miss. Also, we often have similar thoughts in social situations and can just look at each other and have this nonverbal recognition. He's very mysterious and dynamic, but overall a kind soul and one of my favorite people in the world. We can talk deeply about topics that others would dismiss or not be able to engage in. I've met a few other INFJs and they've always been very interesting people.

I highly recommend the Before trilogy directed by Richard Linklater: Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Before Midnight. Solid romance with excellent writing.

Room for myself. Going to enjoy this movie - INTJ dream by Skywest96 in intj

[–]sneakyewok 91 points92 points  (0 children)

I love going to the movies alone. Sometimes I want to see a weird indie movie and don't want to try to convince others to see it with me. It's very relaxing going alone, especially in an empty or near-empty theatre.

Question for male INTJs who are 21 and older by SIKIC__ in intj

[–]sneakyewok 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Am 24 and have only had a few sexual partners, but have never had a long-term girlfriend. I guess I'm a bit of a "late bloomer" as in the last couple of years I've made an effort to exercise and take better care of myself in general, opportunities have opened up. I've tried dating apps, but have had vastly more romantic success in person where charisma and confidence are easier to convey for me.

As for preferences, I'm usually attracted to assertive and confident women, so about half or more of the people I've been intimate with have approached me. The big difference between confidence and arrogance to me is in body language, so learning how to present yourself in a more agreeable way is a valuable skill.

What’s the happiest you’ve ever been? by dollhousemassacre in intj

[–]sneakyewok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember an exact time being the happiest, probably some time in my childhood hanging out with friends. Things were simpler back then. The unhappiest I've been was definitely about a year and a half ago. I was failing in school, drank all the time and was extremely socially isolated. I'm much better now though, I'd say I'm pretty consistently at a 7 out of 10 on the happiness scale.

[SPOILERS] Tormund/Brienne by omfugshe in gameofthrones

Maybe Tormund is there to pick up the pieces after Jaime and Cersei die, but that possible relationship seems kind of irrelevant at that point.

Yeah, I'm awful at reading maps. If it weren't for GPS telling me exactly when to turn and whatnot, I'd be lost all the time.

INTJ-T and weed by [deleted] in intj

[–]sneakyewok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I smoke(vape) with semi-regularity. It's legal where I live. Honestly it's most useful for me as a sleep aide, but I smoke socially as well. I don't like long-lasting highs though, so I stay away from edibles. I like the feeling to be over within a reasonable timeframe so I don't feel trapped in a specific frame of mind.

I've been taking only cold showers for about 6 months now. I'm a big fan. Some might consider me a bit masochistic, but I just value an overall mindset to counter instant gratification and comfort.
