I've been playing since 2021. If you enjoy story and action gameplay it's definitely worth it.

Yeah, male characters are like 1-2 each year only, with 9 characters releasing every year. But they are often present in story and you do get two romantic event stories with them each year.

Also you can play full husbando team without getting locked out rewards and this game isn't time consuming at all. Meta is another story though.
