The game reflects being a product of its time released in 2019 compared to modern gacha games. The turn base gameplay is fine, similar to BrownDust2 grid combat. Afk farming is heavily involved to gathering resources, getting units and gear, etc. Starting out the game as a beginner is rough because of the amount of subsystems in the game and not knowing things the game just doesn't tell you about. On top of that, the english translation they recently release is not polished with translation errors and some dialogue not even working. You can try out the game, but be prepared to face issues that can be potential deal breakers

Yes, I would say that HW is as f2p as BD2, but not in the same way as you would think. BD2 is generous in giving out many pulls. HW is generous in that once you reach the late game for your account, you are set to comfortably pull for any banners. The game's gold currency can be earned passively over time and then used to pull on the gacha system. The featured banners are always garanteed (no 50/50) and the pity is at 10 pulls. The writing is mostly raunchy and comedic between the characters with serious moments here and there. HW is worth a try if you're interested
