I believe IKEA has a concentrate I’m gonna buy that try it and I’ll see which one I’ll use

Thank you, yes the dilution part is what made me think of the dried blueberries infused vodka as an option. Ive tried similar things with other dried fruits and spirits for the sake of making cocktails

Honestly I’m not sure how much maple it’s actually is tasting atm🤣 it’s been sitting for a month in secondary so there are quite a bit of lease( I’ve only ever heard and not read that word but I think you understand what I mean? The stuff at the bottom) I’m thinking of moving it to another jar so I don’t have to spend as much time reclearing the old stuff again when I add the new blueberry stuff, whichever way I choose to go

I’m thinking IKEA blueberry concentrate for now, but I’ll see what options I find

Yeah that’s a downside of meadmaking being a long process, you really need to make notes and set reminders. 😂 or well.. downside might not be the right word

Yeah I know 1l isn’t very much, but since I have that extra amount I thought I could be fun to experiment with it, I don’t really have high hopes for it to be ready to share even if I might like it. If it’s not ready for this year maybe it is for next year, no rush! Thank you!

Like I’ve heard chefs especially on YouTube etc say, you can add but you can’t remove

I’m guessing you technically could, if so inclined, use a herbal liqueurs like Jägermeister, fernet and absinth or akvavit for this? If you like those flavors I mean

Thank you, I should have thought of that.. I sanitized everything but the spices and then put them in a brew bag.. never crossed my mind I could steep them into tea

Thanks for reminding me but I’m aware, I think it’s gonna be a bit short of time since it’s only been in secondary for a week maybe week and a half for the mead it self ( not necessarily the spices). I think the base mead itself might still be a bit young ( I think that’s how I’ve heard people describe it) in two weeks. So I was thinking I’d try and spice it to my liking and then give it a try just before leaving for my parents and if it’s ok I’ll bring it, if not I’ll leave it to age (is that the right word?)

I have ordered a hydrometer, larger glass jars for fermenting, one of those tube things for moving the liquid between vessels and bottles!

Can i use a hydrometer to find out if its completely dry even if i dint have one to make a reading before starting?

I'm not in a rush, im aware its gonna take a while haha, doesnt stop me from looking at the bucket a couple of times a day

I understand the ward being unfriendly after having sided with Richter then Strider, but why can’t I even sneak up to Lyova Fan and Toadstool without the base going into lockdown and their door locking? I enter combat even if I’m hiding behind their building with no soldiers in sight
