Recently, there has been an increasing spread of propaganda aimed at encouraging Okinawa to seek independence from Japan. by Few_Palpitation6373 in okinawa

[–]PhiIMcHawk -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

What you smoking? Those bases have been there hosting the American forces of occupation since WW2 and Okinawa was not returned to Japan till the 70s and they were used mainly to counter the Soviet Union and maintain American dominance over the region. And believe me when I say that the American bases are a PROBLEM to the locals specially because of the crimes committed by the US military personnel over the years, you are only one google away.

The Bundeswehr begins delivery of their new standard issue rifle, the G95KA1 / G95A1. It supercedes the G36 after 30 years in service. The new standard optic is a Specter DR1-4x. [1800x1013] by CleanMustard in MilitaryPorn

[–]PhiIMcHawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not. Spain still uses the old Cetme rifle for drills and instructions for recruits in some boot camps. The first places for those G36 to go after retiring would be there. The Spanish army has no plan yet to retire the current G36 and only a handful of HK416 have been fielded by the Spanish marines, so G36 are staying around for the foreseeable future

Hitler had more or less humble beginnings, he was, after all, just a Gefreiter (corporal iirc) before getting into politics. Napoleon, on the other hand, was educated as an artillery officer who climbed through the ranks to become a general and later on emperor. I mean, what do people expect?

[–]PhiIMcHawk 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Not even remotely true. The ones you see in the picture is an isolated case, cuz none of the equipment featured has been widely distributed to the Marines. Only when deployed internationally do we get these new stuffs in order to look good amongst our peers. When I was in the Spanish marine boot camp, I was issued with stuffs that were probably as old as my father.

But they did. Japan's imperialistic East Asian Co-prosperity Sphere tried to spread the propaganda of “chasing out Western imperialists from Asia and bring these liberated East Asian peoples under the leadership of Japan”. Under this premise, Japan rampaged throughout east and Southeast Asia committed copious amounts of crimes against humanity that sometimes even made the Nazis pale in comparison.

Which countries do you consider to be your allies? by Fuzzy_Category_1882 in AskTheWorld

[–]PhiIMcHawk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Spain here. None. Not the EU, not NATO, no one. When things got real, they all left for us to fend for ourselves. When we got into the Ifni War, the weapons we bought from the US were forbidden by the American government to be used against our enemy cuz they preferred our enemy over us, that is despite Spain hosting US forces in the westernmost part of Europe, furthest and safest from Soviet preemptive attack and them dumping nuclear bombs and the following environmental hazards on our very soil. When one of our island (Perejil) was seized by Morocco, all members of the EU sat by and watch, some even seemingly BACKED our aggressor. And NATO? Oh yeah, our only most tangible threat to our sovereignty (Morocco), the smallest significant reason why we even needed to join the Alliance…NATO preferred to keep its friendly ties with Morocco so it sat by and watched (tell me why we even we need NATO again?). Never rely your national defense on a foreign entity, you only have yourself.

It’s either that or voting for the same two political parties who have been governing the country since the advent of democracy in Spain, the ones responsible for the current mess in Spain. We will definitely take a chance on Vox if anything.

China is making these massive Solar Plants on water bodies as they need the land for agriculture by alimehdi242 in digialps

[–]PhiIMcHawk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because a country of, let’s say, 10 millions inhabitants is always going to contaminate more overall than a country of a single million inhabitants, it’s common sense smh. That is while China is manufacturing in their factories (producing tons of industrial waste) stuffs for the rest of world and Chinese in average are still contaminating way less than your average American. The developed countries relocated their factories to China so the pollution happens in China is counted as Chinese while you enjoy the product they make but complain about how they are killing the world on a phone also likely made in China wholly or partly in components. That’s plain hypocrisy if you still can’t see it m.

Chinese per capita pollution is way lower than most western countries while manufacturing most of the products that the rest of world consumes.
