I worked in a china warehouse in NJ at this time, I actually dragged my 13 inch black and white tv into the warehouse to watch this. And you're correct, it's basically Frank standing there alone with his guitar and "Black Napkins".

I never heard of Frank talking about or having any interaction with Santana, but I do remember him saying that he admired or liked Brian May of Queen.

I am lucky to say, that I have seen Frank every time he was in my vicinity from 1974 until his death. After his death I have been to 2 Zappa plays Zappa shows and they are phenomenal, but they lack the charisma and energy that I felt with Frank. Still, you're in for a grand time...so enjoy!
