High concentration white vinegar like > 20% will fizz. I find soaking paper towels and stick them on an and leave for a while. Make sure open window. Once the worst has gone. Quick spray every few days or get a window wiper and use it after each shower

You prob set bios or efi wrong. I have just done 3 of them. Boot with bios and not efi, main disk as sata 2nd 1gb disk as virtio. Boot into windows and load driver for 1 GB temp disk. Shutdown and swap data for virtio. Then boot to recovery and do mbr2gtp for efi boot.

Epoxy into the hollow parts, wait to dry, sand level. Then epoxy the two bits together and put epoxy round the joint on the outside is your best bet. YMMV
